The food was very good, and I also like the live music on weekends. However, I was seated at a long table with other parties, and this was a bit awkward. More individual tables in the restaurant instead of long tables would be better.

Waitress was good. Pasta Wednesday was NOT available, sold out by 5:30p
The chocolate cake is the way to go...and split it w/ someone HUGE. The food was good BUT the service was BETTER...as a single diner, she made me feel like I was not eating alone.

BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich very generous portion. Very good Bison Burger. Excellent french fries.
Cheerful wait staff. Rustic, western look. Outdoor and indoor dining, all under cover. Ribeye steaks were done to perfection. Even after I was full, it was so tasty I kept nibbling until it was all gone. Highly recommend the venison stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer.

The steaks are very good,service was good, but last night the "music" was not!

Winchesters is one of our favorite restaurants. My wife enjoyed the portobello mushroon burger without the bun for a healthy, low calorie meal. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and fries.
Quality food and service at a fair price! This time had a salad with salmon, and my wife had chili with steak. We went Tuesday night after an early movie.

Out front on the patio on a sunny Sunday afternoon. What's not to like. Pet friendly. Oh, yeah. Good food, good drinks. Usually have steaks but this time it was sandwiches and margaritas. The margarita mix is light and not overtly sweet making it a refreshing warm, sunny day drink.
Food was fresh. One dish was not cooked to ones of the party's liking. They promptly provided a new order which was cooked well.
Meat wasn't tender as described by the waitress. Service was ok.

The food is always delicious--we love your lemon soup! It is always very hot and thick and filled with lots of goodies. Only complaint---it took unusually long to get our food, and when our entrees arrived, they weren't hot, and we had to send it back. We don't eat out much during the week, but having the certificate made it work for us.

Every morsel was delicious. Our waiter - and additional helpers - were stellar. We left over 20% as a tip because the service was so good. Monday night is a good time to go because it is less crowded and quieter. We tried a new dessert called Ektnek which was superb, light, and yummy.

This is usually one of my go-to restaurants and we went for my birthday today, but it wasnt up to par this time. Everyone got a whole plate of peas with their food, so we had 5 plates of just peas, which was silly. wish they gave us more options since we didnt eat peas and it wasnt on the description. The appetizers were good. I liked my entrees, but my father wasnt impressed as a chef/restaurant owner himself. He found the food a little too dry
Food is absolutely delicious!! Maria's baklava dessert is amazing with fresh, flaky phyllo layers, berries and chopped nuts and honey and ice cream topped with honey. No wonder she won on Chopped. Looking forward to a return visit.

Dinner was very tasty, and the service was excellent. We were seated immediately in a comfortable booth. Rib-eye steak, baked yam, dinner salad. Yum.

Good food variety, especially appreciate the grass-fed beef sourcing. It was, however, the worst Old Fashioned cocktail that I have ever had.
Happy to report that Maria's success as a TV chef hasn't altered the food or the prices (still great, plentiful and reasonable.) It does make the place a bit more crowded, and was nearly full by 6pm Saturday.
Originally ordered Sea Bass, waiter returned to say they were out, then ordered Fillet of Sole...overcooked...came with vegetables that appeared to be frozen variety!! Waiter DID remove item from bill!! Stuffed flounder was very good with Lemon potatoes.
The Vegetarian Moussaka was absolutely delicious!

The last few times at this restaurant the soup,salad and entree seemed to be served within minutes of each other. This was early on a weekday. I don't enjoy being rushed.

I love the ambiance and the quiet atmosphere where I can chat with my friend(s) and hear the conversation easily. The food is delicious, and such good hard rolls are a rarity at restaurants.
Just okay - very loud on patio. We ordered wine and it came late. Salad was served on a warm plate and subsequently turned warm. Steak literaly came 5 minutes after salad and was over cooked and tough.

This place is always packed on Friday nights - they asked folks at bar to shift a bit as there was a stool at each end so wife and I could eat at bar and watch the game - food and service great and margaritas are among the best in town

The food was Awesome...2 of us had the rib eye steak...yum.. and the tri tip was also yum... the place is very loud though we had to sit on the patio due to the handicap person that was with us and the fact that we needed a high chair! Our server(Maureen) was very good about taking care of her tables, which we loved!!!!

Winchester's was a delightful place. We ate there on a Friday night and it was very busy, but the accommodated us immediately. The service was friendly & fantastic and so was the food. The menu was unique and there were choices for any age group. Overall it was a great experience and we will return on our next visit to Ventura.

Took about 15 mins to even have our drink order placed. Placed meal and drink selection all at once due to wait. Not sure when waitress would come back. After initial wait, everything was fine. First impression, eh • may not come back but manager made sure we were helped. Maybe it's because we were outside on the patio???Decent food and good drinks. Will visit again .... Not sure when.

Using the certificate turned into a major ordeal. The server perused it upon presentation as if her job depended on whether or not we met all of the "qualifications" (it felt like an audition), then when we got the check, had to confer with the manager, who "allowed" us to use the certificate in conjuntion with a nightly special. What a hassle!!!
