I ordered the Filet Oscar, the oysters were delicious and cooked to perfection. Was happy to see more than the 2 oysters with this entree. My filet was undercooked,so I sent it back, cooked to perfection and so tender when it came back. This is my favorite restaurant to dine. My husband was pleased with his ribeye also.

We love coming here. Always treated like family with a heart-felt welcome from Gia and the rest of the staff. From the dinners to the sandwiches, the appetizers to the pizza, we are never disappointed. Come in and give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Be back soon...........

We've been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and always been very satisfied, but I fear tonight's experience may be our last trip. While the food was decent, the supposedly fresh bread was stale, the salad only contained lettuce and a heavy vinegar dressing, and the wait staff left much to be desired; in fact, our waitress was so apathetic I wasn't even sure she wanted to be there or do her job! Drink orders had to be forced on her. She brought water and we had to ask if we could have something else to drink. Food was brought out promptly but the dessert experience was the worst. We asked what they had for dessert for which the waitress replied, "it's in the dessert carousel." So apparently my husband and I had to get up from our table and stand around as the carousel of desserts spun by. Not the classiest experience. To make matters even worse, we decided to split two different desserts, one chocolate and one apple strudel. Both tasted a little on the stale side but the chocolate one was not edible. It was so dry we couldn't choke it down. We told the waitress this and her reply was,"I ate it earlier and it was good to me." We also went to the restaurant on a Mon evening. She informed us that the desserts were made Sat. The dessert carousel is refrigerated but the desserts are not covered up. If I stuck a piece of chocolate cake in my fridge uncovered for 2 days it would be dried out too! We were offered no compensation for this except an offer to take a cheese Danish home, which we declined. We still had to pay the $5 for the uneaten dessert. Needless to say, until some better waitstaff and consistent food are present we won't be back. After paying $27 for beef stroganoff (which was delicious) I expect to have a better overall experience.

They are overpriced, they added on an exorbitant tip to our bill, they didn't even refill our water glasses. We have eaten far better food and larger portions for less money elsewhere

I have always found Villa Sorrento to be a reliable to eat Italian, well-prepared, reasonably priced food. It is a place I will return to.

Salt should be used to accent a food's flavor, not overpower it. Every item had far too much salt, among other problems. Servers should ask if uneaten meals are to be wrapped (if only for the dog) or if there was a problem with the meal.

We picked the wrong evening to visit Villa Sorrento. There was a private party of well over 50 people that had taken over the restaurant. The noise level was pretty high. The staff tried to be accomodating - moving us to a very cramped high-top table at the bar until the noise level quieted down. We were there for about 10-15 minutes until they shuffled us back to the original table. While the noise was better, it never felt like the intimate dinner we were looking to have. The waiter or staff never offered to do anything for our inconvenience - just offered to shuffle us back and forth. A gesture of something simple like complementary coffee or dessert would have gone a long way to acknowledge the fiasco. The food was decent. We ordered the tuna steak and one of the house specials (bowtie pasta with seafood). The tuna was excellent while the seafood special left a little to be desired. We dine regularly in the area and were overall unimpressed. The bread basket that was served was a bit dry and burnt.

Dined on a slow Sunday evening. Food quality was good. Service very poor. Non-attentive. I sat for over 30 minutes w/out drink (water glass & wine glass empty). Dined at Lombardi's two nights prior -- hands down far superior.

Restaurant.com procedures and limits on use of pre-paid coupons are burdensome. Whenb I purchasd $50 gift cards I assumed I could use $50. Your restrictions after the fact limit me to only $25 per visit. This is last time I would ever use restaurant.com

We had been there once before on a Sat night.The food was very good (after a 2 hr wait for table).This time it was Sun eve and was disappointed.I ordered the special which was on AngelHair pasta,but received spaghetti.My husband's dish was just OK. There were only 3 other tables of diners, but waitress was hard to flag down- never made eye contact.Hope it was just an "off" night.Will try one more time.
