Long staircase makes it awkward for older customers. They should have an elevator.
The food is very good & the bartenders make some great drinks!
One problem. The restaurant is on the second floor. The only entrance is a staircase. My wife is handicapped and it was a long slow walk to get to the second floor.
We are summer residents in Asbury and We meet friends in the Highlands at the Wine Bar each year for Tapas, the food, service and atmosphere excellent!!! Totally like the casual environment eating in the lounge area !
It's a really nice restaurant & the food is good. The bartenders make a good drink!
Pinot Noir Wine was excellent as was the scallops & risotto entre. Oh, & the warm bread with wine butter was heavenly!
Had a bottle of wine and several small plates. All great, except the last which was served cool/cold:-(

A very pleasant, quient, sophisticated place. Knowledgeable, competent and friendly bartender. We usually go early and at this time, it is always a nice get-away place to relax without crowd and noise.

We began our night at the bar for $6 martinis like were advertised on the website... only 3 martinis qualified for that deal & the bar had no clue so she had to look it up. Then we were seated for dinner. We were the 2nd of only 2 tables. The server was horrible. We had picked out appetizers at the bar when we got to the table the menu was all different. We were told Bc it was Thursday we couldn’t get those apps at the table.. what??? Then We ordered a bottle of wine... it took 15 mins. Food was took forever and was just ok... there were 3 of use and it cost over $250 for everything... wasn’t impressed at all and the food was just blah. The server stated “ we do half portions on Thursday in hopes that people taste something they like and come back”.... who says that??

the last time my wife and I dined at the wine bar we left saying it may have been the best meal we ever ate. last night was no exception. Service was great and the Chilean Sea bass was out of this world.Incredible!

The Wine Bar is a very comfortable restaurant to dine--sitting in the lounge area is great--and the small plate tapas menu is excellent.
Our server was very pleasant,but service was very slow.That being said I would return without hesitation.

Very nice place, 2 excellent dinners. Two drinks apiece made the total bill expensive, but it was an anniversary.

We dine here quite often--the food is great--we dine in the lounge area and it is very comfortable to relax--and the waitress " KATIE"--is so so nice as well as very informative.

The tappas bar is very nice--it did get quite busy after 7PM...seats may be difficult to get.

We fine eating in the dinning room takes forever . I believe it is because there is not a lot of Waitresses In the dinning to serve. We find eating at the bar is faster . The bartender seems to be able to call for the bread and ask them to check on our food order .. We LOVE the Bread and the 5 $ Coctails on Thursday Night .. I think also becuse the food is made Downstairs it takes a lot longer .. But the food is delicious .. So we just decide not to go to the dining room to eat and sit at the bar .. We enjoyed it very much .. On the downside it's hard if we want to bring another couple with us because then we would have to sit in the dining room and I would just take too long to get serve . so we just come on date night and sit at the bar . If we have other couple we go to Belford bistro ..
The food was excellent and the waitress was also perfect...
We sat at the bar, because the dining room was in back, dark and intimate which was not for us. The bartenders Kelly & Casey were great. Personable and helpful. The piano player (also named Casey) was fun talented and admiral young man. Would love to return here.

Everything was great from checking in to food, server,ambiance, etc EXCEPT our cappuccino before we leave.(too watery and milky)
Great place for music food and relaxing time
The food was good....it was for a younger crowd I thought. They were playing pool and there was a bar right there. The really BIG dissadvantage was the smoke stench.As soon as we opened the door you could smell the smoke. I guess smokers must love this place, but I don't know about the average person...
First time here,enjoyed our meal,although a little salty. The waitress was polite.Great atmosphere and live jazz music. Perfect place for a romantic dinner. Will return
Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, good quality food and nice portions.
Food and service excellent. A meal could be made from the savory bread served with a herbed dipping oil! When we were there the bread was just out of the oven. I watched our waiter take it out of the hot pan and cut it to serve. Delicious! Entrees excellent as well.

We had a wonderful time at The Wine Bar. This little second-floor gem had a NYC feel- subdued lighting, gray-silver-black stage setting, lively bar area with a relaxed dining area. All of the staff were trained very well- upbeat and very personable. Food was spot-on and very satisfying.

I have been going out to dinner in restaurants everyday for the last three years and this is one of the best places ive ever been to. I was at the frog and the peach this week and this place is every bit as good as the famous frog.
The food is always good, the waiter, Andrew, was great, the atmosphere is really nice. The lounge is just gorgeous.
food taste and presentation is wonderful. service very good although could tell our server was new or nervous-very attentive though. servers did not use trays to carry drinks and looks very unprofessional.

my wife had the special it was excellent, i had the filet and it was horrible, i think they use the austrialian beef which has a gamey taste, i wish they would state that on the menu
Beautiful restaurant, very good food, very poor service. It was our second time there and the service is ridiculously bad. We will never go back.
2 of the 4 dinners proved problematic - my husband's dinner was served lukewarm at best, while I had to wait for more than 5 minutes after everyone else had been served for my dinner to finally be brought to me. Unfortunately,my dinner was not only luke warm, but was served with the wrong sides. Eventually, the waitress took both dinners back for reheating, but each dinner came back incorrectly - neither had any sides, and both were still luke warm. To management's credit, we were given dessert on the house, which we greatly appreciated. We have always had exceptional service in the past, so of course we were disappointed. Truthfully, although our waitress was very sweet, neither she, nor her assistant, seemed up to the task of serving at such a fine restaurant.
Fantastic menu and varied wine list. They were also very accommodating to my husbands severe food allergies. Attentive service, and an intimate and.cozy environment.

Loved the service, the hostess and wait staff were wondeful, loved the ambiance. The food was a bit cold and came out very quickly, about 5 minutes so made us think it was prepared beforehand and not made to order.

My husband and friend really enjoyed their entrees. My fish (mahi mahi) and shrimp dish was dry and unappealing. I usually get the Bell& Evans chicken. Overall our experience was good.

This was our 3rd or 4th time going to the Wine Bar and this was the least enjoyable. It was extremely loud and the food wasn't as good as in the past. It was too salty. We also had slow service and missed the movie we planned to see after dinner.

Very nice restaurant to take friends. Food is good but the service the last two times has been terrible. Each time we had to wait because first time we didn't order appetizers and server said she forgot to put in order. This time we ordered appetizers but last night the waitress said the kitchen threw out the order by accident and our order was late again. Good thing we were with friends had appetizers and wine. However it was very embarrassing because we invited our friends and took them out for a special evening. WILL NOT BE RETURNING for a while because of the poor service on two occasionsin a row and the excuses were pretty lame. Seems they just want a bar crowd and not people for a enjoyable dinner.
Our cocktail waitress could not have been nicer. As we were with other we asked if we could take our bar bill to the table. She was most accommodating. Our waitress was attentive and efficient.

Dinner portions good too many flavors going on in one plate. Had a dessert of bread pudding couldn't tell what kind of bread was used had flavors of mocha that were never mentioned. I like to make an informed decision about what I'm eating.
Great place to relax
Great food selection, love the Tapas menu choice. Wine selection is wonderful with some staying the same and new wines being introduced to try.
The Wine bar is AWESOME. They should be opened on Sunday so people can sit in the lovely lounge area and enjoy tapas, watching the football games and enjoying wine & friends. I definitely love the Wine Bar and will be a returning soon with more friends. My frineds really enjoyed the experience.

The Wine Bar is probably one of the most attractive restaurants in the area and has a very lively lounge. We've eaten here twice before and was very impressed plus the staff is very attentive. A great hidden gem that deserves more attention from the locals (NY Times has already found it, have you?)
Beautiful venue. Service was slow even though few tables were occupied. This might be due to the shared kitchen with Harborside restaurant. Salad was excellant but entree was not up to expectation. It's aa very nice place but there's a lot of competition in the area.

We LOVE this place and don't mind the hour trip to get there!! Katie is OUTSTANDING and we were so glad she was at our table again!! We decided to skip dinner and just sat at the couches with our friends, had fabulous wine and great appetizers!! IF I COULD GIVE OUR EXPERIENCE MORE THAN 5 I WOULD!!!

We all had a wonderful experience. Its nice to go to a REAL restaurant with our girls. Looking forward to our next visit.
