Food is always excellent - service was a bit slow tonight but it was Saturday. Never have I been to Sammy's when it took 15 minutes or less to get our food order.

It was "eh." Not bad and not particularly good. For example: Chicken with mole sauce - Mole sauce was very good, chicken was dry and tough. Sampler platter (appetizer that I ordered for my dinner) - Flautas were dry, nachos needed a little meat but presentation was nice.
The salsa and chips were slightly below average. The burrito (steak) was way above average. The atmosphere was very good with a musician performing but at a decent volume so that you could still converse with your party.

We have eaten there many times and the experience has always been good. This time our food was cold and we felt like we were being pushed out quickly since it was a saturday evening and it was pretty busy.

The waitress should have been more attentive to our empty basket of chips and salsa. We had to ask for a refill a couple times. Everything else was great.
The Service was great. Our server kept up on everything and the Manager came by a few times and answered our questions.
the place is beautiful inside, service was fast at door and seating, chips & salsa at table was excellent. We both ordered the steak burrito. It was a good size however the steak had no flavor and after cooked it was ground or chopped so fine it was like ground beef. NOT GOOD _ Not like a steak burrito, sorry Sammy's maybe rest of food is good but we were not happy with it. This is 2nd try - first years ago the meat was full of grizzel and staff did NOT care.
The pork bbq was fatty and filet migon really small but other than that good.
If you go on the weekends at dinner time, usually have to wait 25-35 minutes before being seated. If you go a bit earlier, at 4:30, you don't have to wait as long, or at all.
Food is overpriced. Menu online did not match actual menu.

At 7:30 pm on a Thursday evening the restaurant was crowded. We were seated immediately and promptly waited on. Our server was great as was the food!

Server was terrific. Only negative was my steak was over-cooked to medium well instead of medium. I was starving so I did not want to wait for another steak. Have had excellent steaks there previously. Today's was flavorful, but just slightly disappointing.
Food was delicious! Maria Maldona was our server and is the SWEETEST person ever!!! She did a great job and made our experience very enjoyable.

Food was fantastic tastes great. Loved the Sammy Torta all of the different meats the Chicken is breaded to perfection and the Chorizo is awesome along with all of the other meats and the Egg just tops it off. I could eat the pickled vegetables by the bowlful.....

The restaurant has expanded since my last visit. All the changes I noticed were positive (the dining area has been upgraded, AC is working, staff are dressed more neatly, & the food presentation has improved). Our entrees were delicious!

The server was very nice but forgetful. The food was okay but not great. Fried chicken dinners were terrible. Steak was tough and fatty. You can get happy hour prices for drinks in the dining room but not the food specials.
I ordered a shrimp queso and the cheese was only melted on the top and there was a lot of unmelted shredded cheese underneath. I have ordered this before but the flavor was not as good as usual.
since expanding service has not been as good. have had to ask for refills and service is just not as attentive

The food is really good. Service from the bar is the biggest issue. We've been to Sammy's several times and the bar is understaffed badly.

Prices too high for lunch. Quality of food good. My margarita tasted like lemonade at. $8.00 per drink. My husband agreed regarding the lemonade drink/margarita.

Our server was Millie, and OMG she was so sweet and kind. She had a smile on her face ALL THE TIME. And the food was delicious. I loved the flavor of cilantro in the Sammy's Burrito. Very good food. We will be back. Glad you are expanding.

Great margaritas! They have both the traditional and a nice variety of flavors. Menu has things on it I have never seen at Mexican restaurants before as well as the usual. All delicious.

The Mexican Salmon and Mole Poblano were delicious. The margaritas are excellent and made with high quality tequila.

It's been a while since we were @ Sammy's. The prices went up and the portions went down. The servings got very fancy, just because the beans were put into a small taco shell and the rice was formed, doesn't justify charging more. It's eye pleasing, but bottom line - too expensive.

The first time we dined at Sammy's was due to their participation in Restaurant.com. Today's visit to Sammy's was for a family celebration. We appreciated the $10 certificate, but would have chosen them anyway. The food they prepare is excellent. Their service is an 11 out of 10!
We were seated promptly, server was very good, our entrees were served quickly. All in all a great after a week of work experience.

I was happily suprised by the high quality of the food and service at this small storefront restaurant. We found it to be as good as or better than Mexican restaurants we have visited in the Southwest. I look forward to sharing the experience with friends.

Place was very crowded and busy. Server took a long time to take our order. The food came out wrong. Our daughters hot dog was cold. tacos tasted bland. chips and salsa was not good. You could tell it was bought in bulk...and cheap. Atmosphere was not bad, but would not go back again.

The guacamole had too much tomatoes in there but everything else we ordered was very good. The place was full even on a Wednesday night! Don't think we would have tried this place if we weren't able to use a certificate, but since we were, we will sure be regulars now! can't wait to go back!

It was our first time going to the restaurant. The bartender was awesome, the food was amazing, and I really love that the bartender let us sample different margaritas.

Food was decent, but I ordered a burrito suiza and the last 1 1/2" of the burrito had nothing in it but lettuce. Server was fine, had to ask for water.
We didn't dine in. We did a to go order, the staff was friendly and the food was good but the portions were a small for the price.

It was my second visit since it opened. I was not at all impressed with the quality of food at my first visit but decided to try it again since it was a participating restaurant. I'm very happy that I dined there again; everyone enjoyed their entree.

it was over priced mexican food.The overpriced drinks were labeled with Patron but with no sign of Patron in them.Service was slow and we had to ask extra salsa's when we saw others trying them.Waitress gave and charged Quesadilla dinner when asked for appetizer.
Food and drinks were costly for a Mexican restaurant with fair atmosphere. Small tables and small chairs. Margaritas were $10.00 each. Most dinner meals were $10.00 or more. Steak fajitas were $15.00

Good tasting food, lots of choices on the menu. Plenty of tortilla chips when seated. About the only minus here is to my taste the "salsa" served with the chips is very bland. Almost seems like plain tomato sauce. I do recommend Sammy's for a good tasting quick Mexican style meal.
