My two favorite dishes were being served as specials. I went for two of my other mainstays, the crad quesadilla and the roasted veggie quesadilla and decided on my ATF,the Jalapeno Chicken. outstanding Two upgraded Tradicional margaritas later ... great decision to visit Rudy's again. Save the bartender is a gem
My partner and I had the veggie quesadilla and the veggie burrito, respectively. Both were delicious. The veggies were fresh and not soggy at all. Lots of cheese, yum!

Fish tacos, normally great, were a little overdone. Should have gotten the tuna tacos, which aren't fried. The pork quesadilla was excellent.
Rudy's is a very popular restaurant in Teele Sq, on the Steps of Tuft's University. Best guacamole around. Service is always great. Highly recommend.

The bartender was super sweet and accommodating. She didn't make me feel like an annoyance by any means, even when I asked her to plug in my phone charger and use my restaurant.com coupon, she was nothing hospitable.

My steak fajita arrived cold, cold steak, cold peppers and onions.... I am accustomed to getting a fajita served on a sizzling platter - hot off the griddle. This was a terrible experience. My son and my daughter both had meals that were poor in quality as well. A very disappointing experience!

Shrimp dinner was tasty but portion was small. My wife's taco was ok but my son disliked his quesadilla. He said the flavor of the chicken, other than that it was one big, messy piece that wasn't cut through properly. The waiter was very pleasant.

The food was not fresh! It appears like it was just warmed for us.
Our host/server was incredibly friendly, courteous, and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. If I ran a restaurant, I'd try to hire him away! Also, the TexMex food was amazing - portions are generous too - and the cocktails were super-tasty. Great low-key place, post-workout drink place, not-a-first-date-but-a-not-fancy date place, and where you want to be for killer burritos.

waitress was not the friendliest, taco salad had not much food in it for the price
we sat at the bar, but the bartender/waitress was sort of all over the place, missing sometimes, chatting with regulars. nice person, but it was a little annoying. we left 20% which I did not want to do, I think you should tip on the service you receive and it was 12-15% service.
Our waiter was extremely attentive and we were able to get flour tortillas instead of corn with our enchiladas!!! (we hate corn tortillas) :)

Margaritas are always fantastic. The queso and chips are amazing. The servers are very knowledgable and always so pleasant. We were unsure of a certain tequila so the server brought us over a small sample to try. She also gave us extra chips and salsa!!!

The servers at Rudy's are friendly and accommodating and do not roll their eyes at us when we order water with no ice as part of our meal. And they get the orders correct. In addition to the food, we also like that Rudy's serves food after 10pm on week nights, which is why we often go there after climbing.

love the freshness of the food, only place I dine for Mexican food, always take my visiting family and friends.
Table setters forgot to keep napkins and fork/spoons, had to ask for it, knife was not sharp enough to cut anything, server missed one dish, had to ask for it, left overs were packed and when reached home found two additional left overs from some other group in the pack. Had to throw it in garbage.

I brought my toddler son and the wait staff only provided mediocre service. I had to ask for additional napkins (only 1 provided for the 2 of us), water was never offered to us and it was less child friendly than I hoped (they offer kids meals but no activity books, crayons, etc). I was also unhappy with my meal. I ordered fish tacos and there was hardly any fish. It was mostly Cole slaw, which was not very good. I liked the French fries.
We go to Rudy's for the food. It's great. their frozen drinks are too!!The outside of the restaurant is not much to look at but inside is warm and fun.
They should provide chips and salsa BEFORE you order.
I specifically made a reservation- and found it a little annoying that we waited over 30 minutes for our table and weren't offered even a few appetizers for the inconvenience. This was a big party (11) with a good size bill/tip. Drink service was slow to boot and there was little to no explanation offered about anything on the menu.

Good family restaurant
Fajita's tasted like they were pre-cooked. Came on a plate instead of a skillet & not very hot. The combination 4 platter was good. Big miss on the fajitas... Wings were good. Service was very good.

Service was great, food was delivered in a proper amount of time after the app and all three orders were delivered at the same time. Drink were refilled as soon as finished and the waiter checked on us a couple of times to be sure everything was good.
The food is typically pretty good but it was a bit off today.
I have eaten at Rudy's quite awhile ago, and I found the food to be just o.k. This time, I thought it was excellent. Great quality and very fresh authentic Mexican food. I don't know if they changed chefs or what, but I was really happy.

We have been dining at Rudy's for years. We only live around the corner. We regularly visit to eat or order food for take out. Everything we have tasted at Rudy's has been delicious. It is our favorite local restaurant. The owner is very friendly and always there to speak to customers. The waiters and waitresses are also very friendly and give great service. We have recommended Rudy's to friends and they have all loved it.

The food was fair/good, the tacos were average and the nachos were soggy with Salsa. I would get the nachos again, but with Salsa on the side (it was good, but too much of it). The Chips and Salsa alone are great. Really the best item on the menu though, are the Margarita's, simply amazing. They use homemade sweeten lime juice, so it tastes natural. Best I have ever had. I will definitely be back.
I live fairly near Rudy's and have been going for years. The gift certificates are a great reason to visit more frequently. We really appreciate it as a low-key place to get yummy food at 10pm or later on weeknights, which fits our schedule well.

I started going to Rudy's 25 years ago. I hadn't been in several years and was quite disappointed last night with the quality of the food.
We had the best server we have had in a long time. He was wonderful! We love Rudy's - great atmosphere and food. My husband and I used to go here when we were dating - it was fun to bring our 3 teens back for dinner!

Salsa is great as was most of the food. Had a Catfish burritio special but couldn't taste the catfish. Everything else we had a was good.

Rudy's is an excellent, inexpensive place to eat. And, when you have a $10 Restaurant.com certificate, with a tip, it's $7 per person. You can't beat that!

I like Rudy's a lot but the service last night was not the best. It was very slow (drinks, apps, main course) and there were errors in what we ordered with no real effort to correct them. We will return but it wasn't the best dining experience we've had there.
