From the moment we walked into the restaurant we received impeccable service. The food was excellent as well. This was our friends first time dining there and they loved it also.

The owner and the staff were very pleasant. Since it was our first time they gave us a complimentary appetizer which was delicious. The entrée was very good as well.

The line was ridiculously long and the checkout process was arduous. They have changed their whole pricing system and also now charge for each side which they do not tell you up front. We have been going here for years and they should make that clear as many people are "regulars" here and have known forever that sides are included. Prices are riducuously high! They have good BBQ but so do a lot of other places and without the 45 minute wait in line

The mgr and waitress were extremely helpful in making sure I had a gluten-free meal (I wasn't sure it was) and they had it made that way for me and the mgr helped pick out a not too dry wine for me to go with my dinner.
It was surprising to find a good little restaurant in that shopping center. It’s a tiny place but they have great food and the atmosphere is nice. Its a little expensive but it’s good quality food.
Staff was superb as was the food. Very friendly and accomodating. Limoncello cake was the est we have had in the US.

Chicken parma was very good and the quantity was more than adequate.
We eat a complete meal - this time including the boconcini(sp?) appetizer, the antipasto salad, 2 seafood entrees, and the carrot cake. All were excellent except the carrot cake which was delicious except for the walnuts that were not as fresh as they should have been.
The food was excellent although the helping could have been a bit more generous.

We particularly recommend saving room for dessert- the limoncello cake is to die for! Rafagino's would be an excellent restaurant anywhere, but in Burke it is really a find!

The food is overpriced. Wait staff does not come to table for followup. Seemed like one waitress for entire restaurant.
Food was excellent. While the server was very nice, she was the only one in the restaurant on a Friday night. So, service to our table was slow. We waited 23 minutes before being asked what we wanted to drink before dinner. Waited 15 minutes for our check after telling the server that we were not interested in coffee or dessert. Finally had to ask the bus-boy to get us our check. Then the check did not have the restaurant.com discount included and it had to go back to have it re-computed. Nice people, great food, reasonable prices, but need more staff on a weekend evening.
Ran out of specials by 7 pm. Very crowded (we had reservations) not enough servers to accommodate . We spent $300. Could have offered some incentive to compensate for poor service that is not their norm.

The waitress was constantly trying to add upcharges - we ordered salads, glasses of wine, main, and dessert. She pushed for us to order a bottle of wine and take excess home, have a hot appetizer, after dinner drinks, etc. She was overly friendly in that very insincere way. The food was very under spiced. The veal chop was nice and tender, but had no flavor without the sauce. Ditto for the fillet. The sauce was under spiced as well - little or no herbs.
Food and service were both phenomenal. Rochelle and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive but didn't hover.
We have been coming here for many years. It is a cozy, warm place to be. You feel special.

Although the restaurant was located in a shopping mall, once we went inside, it was a fine dining experience. Beautiful décor and white tablecloths and candles! The food was very good, too.

We were very pleased with all aspects of our dining experience. The food was excellent and the service was great. My husband and I normally do not order dessert but they had such a large variety and it looked so good we couldn't resist. It tasted even better than it looked!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

As always, the food at Rafagino's was excellent. The dressing on the insalata Rafagino was a deliciously smooth balsamic vinaigrette, with all ingredients in perfect, full ripeness. The lamb chops were large and flavorful, served with artichokes, in a wonderful sauce. The pasta was exceptionally good. Even the broccoli was prepared perfectly. Tiramisu and cappuccino finished a great meal.

Atmosphere, service and deserts were excellent. Main courses were just average, though. I have had much better chicken marsala in a number of places, including a chain like Olive Garden. Plus, dessert prices are somewhat high.

I had the appetizer special and loved it. it was wonderful!! Our entrees were perfect, it melted in our mouths. Our shared dessert was a great way to end our meal. Our service was very pleasant and efficient.

not enough menu items, especially veal and chicken. They were very cooperative re: substituting pasta for vegetable.
The appetizer, calamari, was returned because it had no taste. Owner admitted he got a bad batch and agreed it was no good and took it off the menu.
The food is good but the meals are overpriced. My entree included 4 small scallops.

I was disappointed that the server asked if the kids wanted soda refills and charged us for refills -- we paid $8 for sodas and one kid didn't even need one. Otherwise, the food was a bit pricey and the menu was slim, but we liked the food and would return.

I think for the price there is a lot of room for improvement. It looked like the Parmesan cheese was Kraft. You had to ask for freshly ground pepper and the bread tasted like it was purchased at Safeway.
The only fine dining experience in the Burke and Springfield VA area. Great place for a special occasion.

Rafagino's is a local treasure. We love it for special occasions and when guests come in from out of town we love to take them here and show any and everyone that Burke has class, great food, and fantastic hospitality. Keep up the amazing work!

Food tasted good, but my veal was very, very tough. I usually don't complain about food, but the veal could have been much more tender. I was disappointed. People are very nice, however.
Althought the food and service were very good, my wife and I felt that it was rather pricey. We a frequent diners to high end restuarants in downtown DC and felt that this was more expensive than most of those. Just convienient.

When the restaurant added the 20% gratuity they computed it on the tax as well. They also computed the 20% on the wine which is also not an acceptable practice. This action tarnished the restaurant.com concept and made it feel like a come on.
Excellent restaurant - service & food outstanding. However, it is quite pricey.
We went on the night BEFORE Thanksgiving. At first the restaurant was not going to honor our certificate because they said that the night before a holiday is a "special occasion" for which the certificate does not apply. After protesting that their reasoning seemed arbitrary, they relented and allowed the discount, but attached a full 20% tip to the bill. The wording "not valid on.. special occasions" is very vague and can cause issues.
Everything was very good to excellent, except for the bread. The bread was soft not crusty. We saw a server buying cheap Safeway bread.
We have been going there for many years but the discount helps us to go a little more often.... It's always a wonderful experience with excellent food!

It was horrible. All of the food was frozen food. They didn't make anything there. The service was horrible and the manager acted as if it was a french restaurant!

The restaurant has a good ambience and the decor was fine for a romantic dinner. We had a caesar salad and beef carpaccio. I've never had carpaccio before, and I'm not sure I like it. The entrees were borderline tasteless. The beef was bland. There were tons of mushrooms, which I love. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The sorbet was good, and the presentation was perfect: it was round from the ice cream scooper, however the inside was practically empty because it wasn't scooped well. The Pecan pie was piping hot on the inside, but the crust was cold, I'm not sure how that happened.
Everything was find. However, my husband and I did not like that they included a 20% tip when they brought the bill. The customer is to decide on the tip based on the total amount (excluding the certificate). In bad taste.

As much as we enjoyed most aspects of our meal, I ordered the veal florentine and unfortunately found the veal to be sub-standard.

One of the specials last night was a pork dish with potatoes and broccoli. We expected mashed, ended up being serve bland, instant potatoes dressed up to look like mashed. Our waiter was sympathetic, but the owner needs to fix that. The other dishes were fine, but maybe consider changing out the plates (best described as upside down sombreros) that awkwardly distort the portion size.
A friend told me about the rest. yrs. ago, but seeing the discount spurred me on. Definitely would recommend it and will be returning!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. It's the only good restaurant in the Burke area, which is right down the street from where I live, but I would go there if it were in a sea of amazing restaurants. The service is top-notch, Paulo greets you at the door and always stops by to see about your meal. You feel like you're sitting in your Italian grandmother's kitchen. Desserts are also amazing - try the tiramisu!
