First time but thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.
Loved the food. Could have checked on us to fill wine or water. Table was very small and the overall restaurant was dated a bit. I would go back because the food was so good and fresh. They also take reservations, great to know for season when us locals can't get in any were.

Still our very favorite restaurant in Sarasota, but the previous chef did a much better job than the current one. A few of the dishes no longer can be considered absolutely superior as formerly.

It is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Sarasota and that includes all of the big names of every variety and we have been to just about all of them over the last two decades.

When our waitress (she turned out to be the owner) brought my son's dinner, I couldn't believe how much food he had. Then she brought mine and it was amazing. Not just quantity but quality. I had the corvino and shrimp. Moist, tender and tasty. Salad, nopal, rice, and sweet platinos. All well prepared and yummy ??. My son's beef was melt in your mouth. I had to bring half of mine home. My little dog enjoyed some and I still have lunch for tomorrow. Just $19.90 a plate. We shall return.

I've been here several times, and food was always very good, but menu has been upscaled in terms of flavor, presentation, and price since my last previous visit. This was one of the best meals I have had in any local restaurant in a long time.

The food was great!! There was only one waitress and made service slower, since it was a busy night at the restaurant.
We thought Pervuian Grill was pricy for lunch (apparently there are no lunch specials for Saturday) but portions were generous and our selections Shrimp Chowder and Chicken Aji de Gallina were extremely flavorful. Restaurant is small and decor is on sparse side but touches of Peru are nice and server also pleasant. We were the only ones for lunch on Saturday, so quiet enough for a conversation, even though there was music in background.

The restaurant had but 3 active tables, yet we were rushed between the appetizer and the main meal. We still had about a half portion more to eat, when the main meal arrived. It would have been better to wait a few minutes, and let us savor the wonderful dish we ordered.

The staff that we encountered were extremely nice and professional. It was our Anniversary and we lucked up and got the same waiter that we had a year ago. He was fantastic. Very attentive, always smiling, informative, warm and friendly. All waiter should take notes on his work ethic. A great experience.
We ordered 1 soup and 4 main dishes, 2 fish, 1 chicken and 1 beef. They were all excellent! The portions were very large. Our server was very helpful since this was our first experience with Peruvian cuisine.
The food was presented well. The corvina fish I felt was not quite firm enough but for the most part the meal was fine. The flan was tasty but a bit on the heavy side. Overall, it was fine.

We have always enjoyed the food since this restaurant opened and recommended it to our neighbors and friends. Indeed, our recommendations were inscribed in a food blogger's video that was widely circulated in the vicinity. We were introduced to the restaurant thru your discount certificates. None seem to be made available recently and we notice that the number of customers has fallen substantially since the certificates no longer issue.

Never been to Peru but I imagine this is what a local family run place is like. The service was attentive and knowledgable. The appetizer sampler had just the right portion sizes to get a good taste. The ceviche was very fresh and beautifully flavored with lime, cilantro and red onions. The fried calamari was lightly dusted and fried perfectly...very tender. and the tamale was bursting with flavor. As for the entrees; The grilled corvina was beautifully prepared and was accompanied by fried yucca and plantain, rice and salad. The grilled beef chimichurri was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and also had salad and fried plantain along with white beans. And the flan for dessert was rich and creamy and large enough to share. Overall very impressed and satisfied.

We have eaten here several times however the quality of the food has changed. Perhaps there is a new chef? Doubt we will return. There are so many other restaurants in this area to choose from.

This is one of our "go to" places. This was the first time we went as a family (took our 2 children), usually we go on date night. The kids found some of the food to be too spicy, but still enjoyed it. We got the whole chicken, which was delicious. I had my regular, the shrimp picnate, the sauce on this dish is incredible. Consistantly great food and service.

We have gone to Peruvian Grill a few other times and have been very pleased on each and every occasion. We use the coupon, but still end up with a bill of over $50.00, so it is very nice having the certificate as an option. Although we are happy with the restaurant, with so many other good restaurants offering discounts, without the certificate, we probably would not go again. We prefer El Warike in Bradenton (same owner as the Peruvian Grill). Much better surroundings and decor. Better food presentation. Better meal.

The restaurant was very dingy and tired looking it needs up grading. The server was very pleasant, but on her own so everyone in the restaurant had to wait ages to be served, she needs some help.
The atmosphere is very basic, but the food sublime! Friendly owners and staff. I have eaten there at least 8 times in the last two years and have always been thrilled with the quality and preparation of the food. I have sent out of area clients there; they were also very pleased with their meals.

The Restaurant is very small and crowded, very slow service but nice staff. Food was only mediocere, would not recommend or revisit again. disappointed as heard it was a very good establishment in the past.
Man liked his meal, which was broiled cova white fish and small scrimp on skewer. Woman had scrimp dish in cream sauce which included small scrimp that were okay and one large scrimp complete with head that was not fresh - spoiled unfit to eat.

The food took a long time to get but in all honesty, I have not had a better meal in ages! Both my husband and I are really into excellent food and that's what we got. We will tell our friends and go back here for sure!
The problem with the service was not the server's fault. There are usually two servers but tonight just one and the small restaurant was crowded with two parties of six and we were four and a few two toppers.

The other times we visited, everything was wonderful. This time one person got cut from a nail sticking out of a chair. Another got dripped on from the a/c unit that was hanging from the ceiling over the table. And the portions on the shrimp dinner was small for the price. Because we had excellent experiences in the past, we will give them another try, but based on tonight's visit, we wouldn't go back.

If you can overlook the condition of the restaurant, you will think you dined at a 5-star venue. The food was excellent and well worth every cent. The Corvina was properly prepared and the shrimp were not overcooked which is rare. The shredded chicken my spouse ordered was rich and creamy. Highly recommend this establishment!
