This was our first time eating out since COVID-19 so we were not sure what to expect. The staff did everything they could to make the experience as "normal" as possible. Our host was very good about showing us their new tablet menus and our waitress was the best. Food was excellent as usual and although the portions aren't huge we still all brought home some for the day after. Always a wonderful dining experience at Moxie!
The restaurant did not honor my $50 restaurant.com certificate. The restaurant only accepted $25. The restaurant said they never give restaurant.com permission to have the $50 certificate on the website. I would like to clarify this with customer at Restaurant.com
Our waitress Marina did great! The food was fantastic!
We think the atmosphere is sterile in the dining area, but better in the bar area. The meals were overpriced for not including salad with the meal. The pasta meal priced in the mid 20's is very overpriced. Our friend paid $14 for a glass of wine which she didn't really enjoy. (and also didn't realize the price ahead of time.) We liked the tablet style menu.

We love to go to Moxie's for special occasions. Great service. Excellent appetizers and scallops! The only disappointment was their dessert selection. Nothing looked appealing, so we did not order. Will definitely be back!

Underwhelming dishes, with nothing special achieved given the prices for the entrees. High marks given, however, to the cocktails, salads, sauces and bread.
Great service very professional and the best pizza in town
Steaks and chicken meatball plate were great. The provided mixed vegetables need some attention. The carrots seemed undercooked. Our server was really great. He new the menu well and gave good info on the wines. The happy hour is great. All drinks at half price.
Richard was an excellent waiter. Very personable. He made our daughters birthday very special and enjoyable.

We love our Friday evenings at Moxies. The atmosphere, food and wait staff are all amazing along with the fabulous Jazz group that plays there. Moxies is the closest example of a big city restaurant with home town service .

Very nice. Bobby,our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Food was very good. My wife was running late, they held our reservation and we sat in a nice quite booth with a view of the open kitchen. I hate people complaining that this is an expensive dine. We have had a great meal for $40 with tip and also dined for under $100 with wine and tip.

It was very expensive and the service was slow at times. My prime rib was kind of chewy and grizzly, otherwise everything else tasted great. The prime rib at Cortese's restaurant was a much better cut.
Our server was great. The only reason not 5 stars was the second floor where we sat was extremely warm. We were all sweating. The food & service made up for it.

The minute we walked through the door everyone and everything was amazing
The place has changed. Be vegetables and salad were a part of you main meal. Now you pay for each as a separate item. The cheese fan the stuck in your mash potatoes along with the edible flower are gone too. I was not as pleased with the meal and changes but times are changing.
Steaks were cooked way underdone and not medium as request,,,sent both back, they returned as hockey pucks. Wait staff was oblivious to how to provide good customer service. Moxie's food quality and service has been decreasing while their prices increase. We've given them several "second' chances because at one time Moxie's was actually excellent. We will no longer patronize, there are many other better and exciting chefs and restaurants in the area at at much better price points.
TVs in the bar area always have sports type programming. Nice if we could choose a different channel.

The prices at this restaurant are on the high side compared to other restaurants in the area. Moxi should not charge for a salad with your meal but they do. They should also serve lower priced dinners. I ordered the prime rib and it was served somewhat Luke warm. Should of been hot when served.

Food is always good here. The surf & turf selection was a little skimpy. Tenderloin used for skewered meat was a little tough & stringy.
Entree was lukewarm, server was trying to be friendly instead of listening to our order.

The hostess had a terrible personality! In my opinion that person needs to shine when someone walks through the door of a high end establishment. Also our waiter kept us far too long before bringing bread and more water and the restaurant was rather quiet

Arrived 15 minutes early and were seated almost immediately, infact we even placed our order and received our soup by the time of our reservations! Our entire dinner was excellent and the waitress did a great job! I highly recommend Moxi for a great dining experiance!
Service was great, ambiance was nice. The food was just mediocre during this visit which was a little disappointing in compared to other visits I have had there. I ordered the filet and it tasted more like a frozen sirloin.

Our meal was good as always. The espresso martini I ordered had no taste of alcohol.Also was listed on the menu for 8.90 and was charged 10.90. The firecracker shrimp that my wife loves were not as crisp as normal but still good.

My wife loved her scallops and I loved my steak, but the highlight of our meal was the Wild Mushroom Wood-fired pizza we had as appetizer.

Our server Jack was great. We get him a lot and he takes the best care of us. He was training an young man named Josh who was a great asset. The two of them were very attentive and took great care of us.
Service was fine, but food was not as good as it usually is. The prime rib was extremely fatty and not as smokey as what I've come to expect from Moxie's, the roasted yukon potatoes did not seem roasted and were more like boiled and the mixed vegetables were not cooked enough. The tango chicken was not flavorful at all. The chicken was cooked fine, but the sauce was a very bland tomato sauce.
We prefer to sit at the bar and really enjoy live jazz on Friday evenings.

Food was great. Service not so much. We felt rushed. Waitress didn't timely refill drinks and took my bread plate before I finished.

Moxie's is a great place to catch a quick bite or sit for a special occasion. They always have seasonal specials which are always very good. We used our $25 rest.com certificate which requires at least a $50 purchase. We had the black and bleu pizza, 2 appetizers (ribs and pumpkin ravioli), and 3 bottled domestic beers. Check was $55 tax included. Total out of pocket was $41 which included an $11 tip.
Service was a little slow but it was really busy so understandable. We loved the live music.

The food, the service and the ambience were all top notch. Everything was delicious, one course after another. The only quibble was that the steak, though tender and delectable inside and perfectly medium rare, was a bit too wood fire charred on the outside. It reminded me of the layer of char on burnt toast that one would scrape off. One can't scrape a steak but I suppose I could have trimmed off the edges. But it would be better to limit the char. Otherwise, everything was great, including a surprise exquisite crème brulee for dessert because it was my birthday.
Our waiter Brian was very attentive and pleasant! He asked if it was a special occasion and poured us a complimentary toast in celebration of our anniversary! He made our experience feel special!
We tend to sit at the bar for cocktails and appetizers. Best selection of appetizers anywhere!!! Addy and Diane are both wonderful and we really enjoy the live jazz on Friday evenings. The whole ambience is extremely relaxing.
Made a reservation@ 2pm for 8pm the same night,requested a booth.Got there @ 7:55,and our name nor phone number was written down for a reservation.Waited a half hour,then was told it would be another 20 mins for a booth or we could have a table.Not happy.Other than that, it was average.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent. The waitress was exceptional. It is a special night out.

During our last two visits we felt our servers were a little too friendly, bordering on annoying. They were both very very nice, but their enthusiasm was over the top and came across as being forced.

Our server Desiree was awesome in every way!! I loved the chicken and crab-cake with the two veggies instead of a starch which would have made the dish too heavy and French onion soup.
Love the uniqueness of the menu items but the price is a bit high and seems to be getting higher.

Menu has changed and my usual Kobe burger was no longer available so I ordered a burger but I was disappointed with the quality and smaller portion. Our female server did not elaborate as much as our servers in the past have been.
The Victoria's veal was very dry and flavorless...really disappointed in that dish. Everything else was good.
The steak we ordered was suppose to be meduim well but was well done and very dry. Prices are a little expensive

Excellent, very friendly waitress. Also, it was my birthday and I was surprised that a restaurant still gives out a free dessert. The crème brulee was perfect. THANK-YOU! and ... it's also very classy NOT to have all the waiters and waitresses gather round to sing a bad happy birthday song. It was very nice to just get a wonderful dessert and not draw attention.

Diane was awesome.. she was happy and fun...We were able to get seats at the other end of bar .and had a male waiter that was very good too. We ordered calamari. It was cold when we received it and I asked to have it send back..I think they reheated it in micro wave..NOT GOOD. We also had Pizza that was excellent and seared Tuna awesome and shrimp..super awesome. I LOVE the raspberry martini..YUM!!!
Service was good but seemed very slow. 5:30 reservation, we arrived promptly at 5:20 and were seated at 5:30. The salad course was quite delayed. The gratuity was applied automatically as expected, but it was 20% rather than 18% and was calculated on the amount that included taxes. This is incorrect. We were overcharged $8.00. The prices are expensive to begin with so this is unacceptable. The Delmonico steak I received was quite thin for $29.00 and was medium rare , rather than the Medium I ordered. I could not blame the Chef, since a steak that thin would be very hard to control exactly at Medium Well.

i ordered the portobello mushroom (meatless) pasta dish. The flavor wasn't great... it was ok... the sauce was a bit bitter. First time ever I have had food at Moxie that I didn't just rave about. I won't order that dish again. It would be great to see a few more entrees on the menu for Vegans.
Ask them to bring back the roasted pork shoulder dish

The bar is great. Ryan and the girls always greet you and remember you. Even when they are super busy, they make you feel like you are the most important person there. Ryan is the best!

Experience wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. I'd try it again before ruling it out for good. Mostly our server was not as good as I would've hoped for.
We really enjoy Moxie. Sometimes the "Moxie" prefix to everything is alittle over the top. EG:, This is our MOXIE salad, our MOXIE bread etc. We know where we are. I'm sure the wait staff are trained to say this. So it's a minor irratint.
The food took a very long time to arrive. When we asked, the server told us that the cook was new and she didn't like the look of the grilled pizza we ordered. She never told us about the delay, and I believe it would have been nice to offer a complimentary drink at that time.
We ate at the bar and always Ryan was an excellent server and bartender. Ryan makes the fun and enjoyable. Great place!
