The food was delicious, the server was amazing! We had a toddler in our party and the server was so sweet to her and really good with food placement and pouring coffee away from her so she wouldn’t potentially get burnt.
Nice staff and good food, just extremely slow. Also very difficult for elderly and those with mobility issues. The restaurant check in is super difficult to find and there is no waiting area.
It is always a pleasure to go to the Morgan House because they offer delicious gluten free bread for their sandwiches. I do wish they offered more gf free items as well desserts, too.
Fruit wasnt very ripe and childrens meal was pricey $10 and was too much food. Maybe smaller portion and lower price??? Took 25 min to get food.

I checked in at 10:50 a.m. on Friday. We were called at noon. We were not served our lunch until an hour after we placed the order. Very unhappy.

Our party was 11:30 am dining so we were seated quickly in the cabin. There are two dining areas; one in the cabin and a large area in the back which is more open and can handle larger parties. There was a lot of background noise because the cabin is so small. The food is excellent. The service was non-intrusive. We had plenty of time to converse and relax. We were there on a Tuesday. The weekends are busier.
My Sister & I love to go to the Morgan House for a day out ! The food is always great & we love to shop afterwards for unique gifts!

It was just ok. Our salads were huge and pretty good. The kids pizza was good and came with fruit which is always nice. I just wish our sever had told us the lemonade in my Arnold Palmer was going to be PINK! Not appetizing and not the greatest service methodology. I think I was also just given sweet tea rather than given a choice. Even with my refill to go of just plain tea (no pink lemonade) I was given sweetened tea. If you come here be sure to ask about what your getting to drink. You will not be informed. If you paying $2 or more for a beverage you want to enjoy it.
Very good cobb salad. Wish you had the original peppercorn dressing. Missing it!
Our waitress was very nice, and the food is good. We would eat there more often if they took reservations. And the restaurant, while rustic, is pretty plain with hard wooden chairs. And you have to enter through their large, multi-level shop to get to the restaurant. It was a little challenging for me, since I have a bad knee.
The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting and the food is delicious. The Italian Sub is the best I’ve ever had!

I put my name in first when I got there. There were many open tables to seat 2 people. We waited a half hour. That’s crazy.

The food is pretty good, but the dining room is one large, very loud when even partially full room. It appeared that the food wasn't made as well as we'd remembered. My husband said there wasn't a lot of lobster in the lobster mac and cheese, and there didn't seem to be a lot of cream cheese and pecan spread on the bread in my turkey sandwich. Also, they don't take reservations.

Always good food, friendly staff, delicious flavored coffee and immediate small tasty muffins. The building containing the restaurant is loaded with fun merchandise to buy or just look at for an hour or two ;-)

Extremely disappointed that there was no quiche on the day we came due to not receiving pie shells on truck. Live out of state and bring my Mom when I come home to visit. She looks forward to the quiche. Now has to wait 6 months or more before I am back to Ohio for visit.

We both loved out food (lobster mac and cheese and roast beef bake) and the fruit was very fresh and sweet. It is a quaint place and the service was very pleasant.

The food at Morgan House is good...but not exceptional. After trying to have lunch yesterday and arriving at 11:45 and being told we would have a 90 minute wait, we tried again today. We ate right before we left home which was good because even arriving at 11:15 we still had a 90 or more minute wait. Fortunately there is an enormous gift store attached so we shopped while we waited. But we will not try to eat there again at Christmas....the shopping is more worth it than the food is.
Ordered the Seafood Salad, which I love but realize is likely not often ordered in the winter. The scallops were hard from what I assumed was freezer burn and the cocktail shrimp were soggy.
Food is excellent, menu changes often. Great service. Wonderful shopping after or before lunch. Many floors in this restaurant to shop for gifts or just for yourself.
We were seated exactly 2 hours which was way too long. Waitress was nice but over worked and just did not have things done in a timely matter. NOT her fault. She was hustling but it quite apparent they were short on help. My salmon was barely warm, but flavor was outstanding--others had warm food also. All said flavor was great but roast beef was not hot enough--cheese had gotten hard.

Seating was prompt and the service was quick and efficient. We always arrive when the shop opens and put our name in for lunch first thing. Then shop until called at 11:00 for lunch. By the time we were called just after 11 there was a 1 hr wait. We have been going to the Morgan House for 12 years. Never had a bad meal or bad experience.
There didn't seem to be enough servers for the amount of customers. We waited quite a long time for someone to come to take our order. There were other customers that were getting their own water, and complaining that it took a long time to get service.
The food was excellent! We had great service from a young gal. I think her name was Ronnie. She get refilling my coffee and ensuring we had everything we needed.
Lovely and tasty dishes, and reasonable serving sizes. Afterwards, I spent way too much in the gift shop!

It was extremely noisy in the dining room, especially when the staff was moving chairs/tables around, scraping the floor. Service was VERY slow, and it was not that crowded, being a Monday. It took about 45 minutes for our lunches to come out! The chicken salad, per the menu, should have been diced chicken. But it was more like minced chicken - almost like a spread. I've had it many times here before and it was "different".

I love the Morgan House, so I invited three friends who have never been there. All three of them loved it and are already talking about going back.

Waitress was excellent!! Nicest one we've had there. We had to sit in the hallway. Not our favorite spot, but I guess we could have asked to move. They were busy though, and we didn't want to complicate things.
The only complaint we had was how little seating there was for waiting for a table. The wait was 2 hours and we had a 91 year old with a cane and a bad hip with us. The small bench for waiting already had 2 elderly women on it and another woman who said she had a bad hip, too. So we had to stand. I understand that the holidays caused the wait to be longer than usual but there is always a wait. It was longer than usual but there were several empty tables while we were waiting. So it was hard to understand why they couldn't seat more parties. It would have been better to sit at a table to wait for the kitchen to catch up than stand in a very crowded store to wait. By seating more people, we would have probably been able to get a seat on the bench.
Ambiance was wonderful, food was great, and I was willing to wait the hour it took to get a seat for a late lunch. Since it was during the week I didn't expect such a long wait that is the only reason I did not rated the highest rating. I waited an hour and 15 minutes and had to ask where I was on the waiting list and of course they then cleared a table and I was seated.

We arrived for a late lunch just after 2pm and they made us feel very welcome and in no hurry even though they were closing at 3pm
I ordered a sandwich that I expected to be hot but was served cold. The server happily had my sandwich warmed for me. Also, the atmosphere is very quaint, but their larger room is quite noisy, making conversation tricky. Not unpleasant, but not ideal. I enjoyed the visit and meal.

The food was great but the wait was extremely long. We got there 13 minutes after opening and had to wait an hour and a half to be seated. The table we eventually were seated at had been empty that entire time.

I had the cranberry turkey open faced. It seems to be getting smaller and smaller. Same goes for the muffins. 1st time there was no orchid but it was very busy.

The food is tasty, the service great and the ambiance is splendid. The acostics in the dining room is bad, though and you have to shout above all the other customers talking.

Morgan House is the kind of place you can get great food, spend time visiting with friend and not feel rushed. Oh and then shop! I always enjoy going there even if it's just me. I recommend the quiche - no matter what flavor they have that day. Always good.

It's a fun place with great food and wonderful service. Before or after dining, you can shop (or just look at) for all kinds of decorative things for your home, clothing, kids stuff, food and antiques.

Morgan House is a great place for a girls' lunch - the food probably will not appeal to most men. Great shopping there too.

The biggest problem with Morgan House is they don't take reservations. The place is 75% a retail store and 25% a restaurant, and some people don't want to shop while they are waiting for a table. Plus the main dining room can be very noisy if there are some baby showers, etc going on.

The service was very questionable. The server was more concerned about the coupons we wanted to use than telling us the specials of the day or getting our drink orders. Took an hour to get our food to the table and she wasn't the friendliest. She never apologized or even acknowledged the waiting time for our food. Just didn't seem to have it all together.
The food and service was excellent (Turkey Club & Salad w/Peppercorn dressing)!! The server brought me a sample of the chicken salad and soup before I made a decision of what to order. It was nice to relax and have a glass of wine after shopping at the store.

The food was very good. The cold air blowing up from the floor was not, even with the placemats and saucers holding them down. I suggest either replacing the vents with ones that can close or shut the vents off or reduce the force of the air from the basement of the restaurant. Good service too.

Recommend going on a weekend that is not Mother's Day weekend. There was a large Red Hat group there that was loud and ruined the intimacy and enjoyment for other tables. Have always had a good experience here, but this visit was a little sub-par.

A lot of large parties - had to wait longer time to even place order - had to wait 10 min to even get our bill once we were done eating then when we went to pay she took ours first then went to the large table next to us and took all of their bills which we had to wait for then instead of coming back with our cash 1st we had to wait for her to take care of change for a large table of 8 which I thought was just rude. After waiting another 10 min we got up and waited by the food door to ask if we could get our change and not have to wait any longer. She was sort of rude about that too. Wasn't happy with the service but love the food.

We put our name in at noon, right when they opened. Our name didn't get called for over 30 minutes. We then ordered soup, salad and a kids PBJ. It took over 25 minutes to get the meal. We were in the restaurant for 1 hour and 35 minutes total. The delay in seating and food delivery made us late for our date to see the Nutcracker. My daughter was very disappointed.

cranberry orange mini muffins are my favorite and they were today's muffin :) my aunt's quiche was cold and she would not send it back. our order did take awhile to come out, so maybe hers sat ready for awhile.

We enjoy going to Morgan House for the "girl's lunch out" and shopping experience. We did request to be changed to another table. The hostess seated us initially at the small table in the smaller, old dining area just down the 2 steps to the right. This table is ridiculous. It is wedged between the handrailing and two walls. My friend was stuck in the corner and I was crammed in betweeen the table and someone seated in a chair behind me. It was so tight, I couldn't even get my foot around the table leg. We felt like the ugly step children. There is no reason to have that table there and no reason to put people at that table. You weren't that busy and there were a lot of other tables available.
Wait was way too long today.
Our server was lovely in every way except one.... she was very loud.

The only reason that we went here was because we had the certificate. Otherwise the prices are outrageous for what you get. $10 for a main dish salad on a small salad plate! We spent $23 before the certificate for 2 entrees with nothing else but water to drink and left still hungery. Never again.

The food was really bad . I had a quiche and it tasted like it had some kind of soup in it. My daughter had soup and she only ate a bit.......

I have gone to this great restaurant for over 20 years.I usually go at least every three months. If able I'd goonce a month. Love the flavored coffee. My last visit I was disappointed in the chicken casserole, which was very very dry. I just know now to order that if they have it as the special of the day. Otherwise..all is excellent. Taken alot of people there that hadn't been there. GREAT PLACE!!Eating and shopping all in one place.

When I moved to Columbus 21 years ago to work at Wendy's Corporate Office, a co-worker brought me to Morgan house for lunch and shopping. I became a regular for 5-6 years, and then was employed much further away. However whenever friends are in from out of town, time permitting, I treat them to Morgan House and the nurseries nearby. It's always good food and drinks and shopping.
I enjoy using the Restaurant.com certificates at places I already love. I also am willing to try new places if I have a certificate.

Our waitress was wonderful. Wish they were all like her. The food was excellent and a very relaxing afternoon.
The entry way is very difficult for those who are older and having difficulties getting around. After our meal, we found the disabled entry. It would be nice to have signage for disabled entrance near the main door and in the parking lot.
My daughter's grilled cheese had black specks all over it, like the grill needed cleaned. We had to pick these pieces off. I was not pleased with that. The rest of the food was good, however. And I appreciate that the waitress gave my kids a coloring page. That was a first.
This is such a neat place to take visitors, I always enjoy seeing them as they enjoy the place.
I have eaten at the Morgan House for many years and my only complaint is that I would like to see some new menu choices. It's been the same for years - good - but the same!

I had the special chicken salad sandwich, and even though I am a big guy I found the product to be too much. The chicken salad was sloppy and over mayoed. The cheese and Barbecue sauce??? on chicken salad terrible. The coussant burnt. The pickle and tomatoes that camne with it both wilted and old. This was your special for petes sake. The pecan flavored coffee was good.

LOVE Morgan House but it is so noisy in the large room. May want to consider hanging some banners or other fabric in the high part of the room to absorb some of the noise. I don't consider Morgan House as the type of restaurant where one would take screaming kids but it always seems to be our experience. You may want to seat them in the smaller room so it absorbs the sound or I'll check it out and wait for a seat in the room that is not so noisy. Otherwise love everything!

Chicken was cold and the raspberry sauce was more of a bbq sauce--very unexpected. Cheese may have been microwaved--very strange. Potato chips, coffee, muffins and service were excellent.

The Morgan House is definitely a place I would return to. The food was excellent and I enjoyed the flavored coffee and gift shop very much. My only suggestion would be to have a larger area for people to gather to wait for a table. We had an ederly person w/ us and it was a 30-45 minute wait which was a bit much for her to be on her feet. There was not a good place for her to sit and wait.

Long delay in taking our order due to a 10 party table next to us. I was taking out a 83 year old friend, so an overly long wait was not too good.
Food was not hot enough when it came out. This happened the last time we ate there also. My sister had to send her soup back to be reheated.
Salmon was dry and not fresh! At &9.49 I expected better food quality! Very disappointed. Waitress slightly rude. We were celebrating birthdays and Christmas and were surprised at the poor quality of the food and service this time. Probably will look elsewhere for next "ladies' lunch". I am planning to write a letter to Morgan House to address this.

Normally my dining experience at Morgan House is excellent, however when we were there this past Sunday the service was not as good as it usually is. And we had to wait 50 minutes for our food from the time we ordered. I understand they were busy (which they normally are during lunch), but I just think that 50 minutes is too long to wait for 2 sandwiches and 2 side salads!
We have dined at Morgan House several times but was a first time for our son and daugherinlaw and they were quite empressed and will be returning as well. It is always a good experience for us.
I love this restaurant. I would go weekly. I do try togo at least once a month. All food is delicous and I Love the flavor coffee you have different each time I visit. I have introduced several of my friends to your restaurant. Work full time during week during youropen times. Can only visiteither Saturday or Sunday. Morgan House is a lovely spot for lunch. The gift shop is extensive an the decor is wonderful. 90% of the clientele were ladies and my husband did feel a little left out, as the waitress primarily focused on my needs, not his. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. I will return.
It's unique because of the beautiful gifts and decorations they have for sale. Their food is delicious, too! It's a fun destination!

The old restaurant (small room) is somewhat cramped. Maybe put fewer tables in there and more in the larger room. Even when the large room isn't full, we seem to be seated in the cramped area which takes away from an otherwise good experience.

We have been to Morgan House previously for lunch and also for a private evening event during the 2010 Christmas holidays. Service today was exceptional as provided by Jillian ...she conversed some with us and made our visit more fun.
Wonder atmosphere and a very great menu. House soup was outstanding! Loved the decor also. Wish they were open for dinner as it would be cozy & romantic.

I had the chicken salad which was very good, BUT, the scoop I received was small. Portion size greatly diminished from the last time I ordered. If I did not have the coupon, I probably would be more upset, and stay away from dining at the Morgan house, for a while.

We love the Morgan House and come here time and time again. My friends are always thankful when I introduce them to such a great luncheon spot. My mom and I dined there today, as we have many times, and will continue to. The coupon was just an added incentive to get us to travel up there :)

I love the restaurant and the shopping. It is a great place to bring a guest, or someone new in town for a day out. I brought a new neighbor for a fun day, and to get to know her. Thanks for always have a great place to relax and eat. I really appreciate the fact that the hostess was able to place us at a table in the log cabin room. It is cozier there, and less noisy. One of my favorite spots to go out with a friend!

It took a long time to get our food the waitress was good but should have offered some sort of compensation, more rolls, dessert. didn't get a visit from manager. Just 1 apology from the waitress.
What is not to like at the Morgan House?! The food is very good and the quality. Service is usually very good.When fruit is a side dish itis always fresh.The only thing is the steps to the restaurant are very deep.

My experience at the Morgan House was good, however, I feel that the Restaurant.Com fundraiser is misleading. It did not tell you, you would have to give 18% tip on the total bill before your gift certificate was subtracted. Also that you could only use one gift certificate at a time.
We love Morgan House. The food is great, the service is friendly and the shopping is delightful. It's an afternoon 'event' for our group of friends, and usually our 'birthday celebration' choice.
