We keep coming back because the food is so good and it is convenient to our house, but the wait is notorious among members of the community for being SLOW! We waited one hour for our food this time, and that is no unusual. Even during non-peak times, it takes an unreasonably long time to be served.

It's the same story the food is good the service is poor. You have to ask for everything here they don't ask you if they can get you anything like more chips or water. If you have left overs you have to ask them for a take out plate to take them home and even a bag to put them in. They never offer and I don't think they will ever change.

From the time we walked in to the time we left, we were not given much attention. We had to ask for a beverage for starters. It took 20 minutes before our waitress took our order. By then, we had to ask if we could get a refill on our beverage.The food we ordered lacked in flavor. When we finished eating we had to ask for the check. We have dined here before and had a similar experience. We just wanted to give them another chance but, unfortunately, the were consistant in their lack of attentiveness and each time we dined there, the food was not up to our expectation.

The food is always good. But the service seems to be getting worse. You never seem to be able to get refills on chips or drinks. I think they need to have one person that just does this task. I think they could cover all the tables with just giving drinks and chips. They seem to have the employees but they all have different tasks and you never know who to ask for help.

They misinformed me over the phone. I had 5 Maria certificates totaling 50.00 dollars and I was told I could only use one 10 dollar certificate after I've spent 20 dollars. I ordered ahead and it still took over 30 minutes to receive food I couldn't enjoy.

Waitress was very slow and they were not busy. We ordered drinks waited then arrived with chips and salsa. Then ordered and waited awhile and my salad came 1 minute before my meal! We had to ask for napkins and drink refills then waited until end of meal to get them! We asked for containers to take remains home and waited again! She never checked during our meal to see if we needed anything we had to flag her down each time! She never brought the check too us so we waited again and finally went up to the regestar and asked for it! The food is good but the service needs to be improved alot!

When we told the server the salsa was VERY spicy, she brought us a bowl of what tasted like marinara sauce. The food was good, but it's just not worth all of the negatives.

We have been to Maria's several times and always receive good service and excellent food. The rice and beans are vegetarian (important for me) and their chips/salsa are excellent. They also serve a free very hot cabbage slaw with the chips. The iced tea and raspberry tea may be refilled once.

Delicious food. Nice staff. No one acknowledged us and we waited a few minutes before asking if we needed to put our names on waiting list. It did take a long time but we had extra time and it was a relaxing dining experience. We saw our well known vet of nearly 40 years, Dr. Sigdestadt, owner of Loma Linda Animal Hospital, come in for take out, and knew if he frequented the establishment, it must be good.

the person who seated us did not greet us, offer us drinks, look at us or bring us chips. It took about 20 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order. it took a very long ime to get our food. Noone came to check on us,offer refills on anything or even went to ask for our bill at the register and had to wait in line about another minutes. we got no appology for the long wait on anything. everyone working there seemed unhappy and like they did not want to be working there. it showed. we were one of many very unhappy and dissapointed customers.

Maria's was a great small place to dine with great food and fair prices. They have better than doubled the capacity now and it makes it even better as before they were always packed and now there less chance of that.

My wife and I have been coming to Maria's Cafe for several years now. We love the food so much that we have no problem waiting a little extra for our meals to arrive. But, since the remodel was completed, the service is EXTREMELY SLOW!! We waited about 90 minutes before our food arrived! Luckily, we were not in a rush. The new look is very nice but the level of service has declined so much that we will probably not dine at Maria's unless it is empty. We are very sad that one of our favorite restaurants has declined so quickly! PLEASE FIND A WAY TO INCREASE THE SPEED OF SERVICE!!!

We love Maria's food, and eat there maybe once a month. There's always a long line, but we have found that getting take-out is usually fairly quick. When we called in the order today, were told that it would be about 15 minutes. It took an hour to get the food because the place was so busy. I understand busy, but it was totally unprofessional to say that it would be 15 minutes when they knew well that it would be much longer. Just be honest, please. I would have been ok with just going there later.

Maria's is a great place to go and eat at. We have been there a lot but wanted to take my parents out to eat there and they loved it. The only drawback is there is never enough seating and is so small. (That's actually a good sign) The people are so nice and friendly everytime we go in and they are excellent servers.

Plus: Excellent place to eat authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. Minus: The dining area is very small and there is really no place inside to wait. Also, the service is fair-they tend to forget about you and often you have to ask your server more than once.

The service was very slow, only 1 waitress for entire restaurant. The food was not as good as usual, even the salsa tasted different.I will probably return but not for awhile. After this experience I don't look forward to eating there again, like I used to.
