It is Covid and the dining experience is just not the same we had 7 people and picnic table was very crowded by the time food and drinks were delivered.
We carried out but the service just to get my food (which was sitting almost in front of me was slow.) The food was great! I will go back. The only question I have is the certificate doesn't show dine in only and I was told it normally is dine in only but with the covid, they will allow carry out.
Just everything was nice.

the employees held doors for my disabled mother, sat us in a quieter area, very prompt and courteous. Prices were good and food was excellent.
None of the staff, I saw, smiled. It was like they hated being there.
Sat live German music, crowd thinned out after 7:45pm, told wia for table of 1hr 15min and after 20mins texted table ready, had TV showing sports but couldn't hear them, very loud atmosphere
Though I marked good, I really think it was not as good as in the past, two of our dishes was much too salty, the sauerbraten didn't have enough gravy for both meat and spaztles, which is how some folks like them, and mostly, think prices have been raised far too high. I know it will not continue to be #1 on my list any longer for all my out-of-town guests.

Waitress seemed to be new - unsure about Restaurant.com certificate.
It was a beautiful sunny day so we stopped in for lunch and dined in their outside seating area. Service and food was very good.

The band was so loud the waitress couldn’t even hear to take our order. It was ridiculous

The server was amazing (Karen)(?). She advised us about the hot bar and helped us with the frequent diner card and everything we needed. She even solved an unexpected situation. Oh Yeah, Jim, who greeted us was impressive in conversation with me in German.

Just finished lunch with incredibly poor service while sitting at the bar. The bar tender should be removed from duty as he did nothing positive for our visit. Food, drink and entertainment were fine. Bartender did not check on how our meals were till were were almost done. We asked for a check 3 times. When it arrived I signaled him that we were ready to check out 3 times. Finally he took the check and our credit card and set it by the cash register. He went on to change the TV channel, prepare a growler to go and ask 2 other customers if they needed refills. When he came near us I said can I have my check or do I need to call for a manager. Finally we received our bill. His service was poor and our tip reflected that.

The service was extremely slow. It probably took 15 minutes to get our beers and a half hour for appetizers.
Except for: benches are much too heavy to be moving when having to get to and from your table. Everything else was excellent.
Saukraut balls were a bit too salty. I got regular cabbage instead of red cabbage. They should have given me the red cabbage.

Hamburger was terrible
The food was really good. I had the Reuben and he had the French Dip on a pretzel bun. We also shared the Pretzel app. because we were so hungry. We're very picky eaters and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. Normally we just drink here.

There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the main hall. In 2014, there is no excuse to not be smoke-free. We ate in the nonsmoking room, but the smell still drifted in.

Excellent food, though disappointed that German Potato Salad was served with most of the meals rather than the German Potato Pancakes. Enjoyed the two gentlemen playing the German music, and appreciated that they weren't constantly taking breaks. The treat for our guests celebrating their 41st Wedding anniversary was very nice.

Our server was excellent her name was Gwinn, she went out of her way to make sure we got what we wanted. This made it very pleasant, and the live entertainment was great. I will be back.

If I could change anything I would like to see parking next to the building. We had to walk 3 blocks and it was cold.

Started out ok until large private party brought in own extremely loud music which often was Spanish or our 14 yr granddaughter enjoyed.Food was cold and didn't taste good. One dinner was burnt. I told someone and manager said oh well which to me ment large party spending more.

the room was VERY noisy and it was hard to hear our waiter or our friends. On the plus side, a waitress came up with boxes to put under the feet of one table to raise it, thus accomodating a motorized wheelchair and its occupant. Great service!
This was our first time at Hofbrauhaus, before vacation I went to Restaurant.com and ordered coupons in places we were going to be in. Hofbrauhaus was so great we told friends and they ate there on the way home from their daughter's wedding.
Server was excellent. Great food.
Quite poor service. The server admitted to missing our party and apologized for missing us while we sat there, but offered no extra discounts.

It took over half an hour after getting a table for our server to show up with menus. Once there, she was good, but the wait was longer than it should have been. Additionally, the table adjacent to ours had three people smoking very potent cigars.

Our server, Ryan, was excellent! He took care of us when needed/wanted and left us alone when not. Almost a lost art of wait staffs everywhere. Glad there are still exceptions here and there.

We have been in the past like 2 to 5 years ago. We dont go North very much but it was just like we remembered it being. We even took a friend who had never been to a German restaurant and she enjoyed it. Even had live music there which was a great experience for her. Thank you for making it great!

The only thing that I could say that was bad, was that our waiter brought us boxes for our food when we were done but he did not come back for another 25 minutes after that. We really just wanted out check and to leave.. but we were left sitting there for 25 minutes after we were done eating before we even received our check!
The only problem I saw was seeing so many open tables and people not getting seated in a timely manner.....

The breaded pork cutlet in the Schnitzel Cordon Bleu was over-fried and tough. The service was fine and the atmosphere was good.

It would have been excellent had the restaurant been nonsmoking. There is a nonsmoking room, but it is not the main dining hall, where the music and true Hofbrauhaus atmosphere is.
This is one of our favorites- with & without the kids! The food is deelish, atmosphere is fun & the kids don't have to be quiet. Dancing on the tables is encouraged....need I say more?

The whole unorganized way that we were seated was uncomfortable. 2 hour wait. Security at the door. It was a big production.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon. There was a musician playing German music on the accordian. It was so much fun! Families were dancing with their kids. Our waiter was great and the food was very good!
It was late so that may be why the food was not very warm and the waitress was not very attentive.

The food was very good, service excellent, and even at a rather early hour, they had good musical entertainment. Also, though we didn't have any children with us, they had a talented woman doing face paintings for the little ones, and an excellent juggler. Made for a most delightful evening. One negative: one of the first times we were charged extra when we asked for a bit of gravy for the spaetles.

Our server was excellent. I didn't realize the tip was included when I got the check so I tipped 20%. H e returned and pointed out the tip was too generous. We will defenitely return. Thanks for a great evening and a great server.
The food was good, but we were very disappointed with the "smoke". We came out of there smelling like smoke. If we had known that there was not a place for non-smokers, we would not have chosen your restaurant.

The food was excellent! Our server was nice, however we were the for an hour before we got our appitizer then 5 min. later we got our food. It took way to long to get the appitizer then we had too much food on the table when our food came.

Server was fine once we figured out who was assigned to our table; but we waited 10 minutes after sitting down and had to find someone and ask them to give us menus. Bathrooms were also VERY dirty with trash and mess on floors. Atmosphere was great through and outdoor seating is prime, which is why I would return and hope for more attentive service to start.
