The short ribs were tough. The gravy was salty. The cauliflower tasted burned and everything was cold.

We were on a 1 hour lunch break and informed our server when we arrived of our limited time. After ordering, it took so long for our food to come out that we all were forced to box up half our food. My cheese/bacon was burned on my sandwich.

The service was average. The prices were very high for what we got. The menu choices were odd. There are not very many entrees but many choices for what they call shareables. Regret is what I feel this morning for spending so much and not enjoying it! Oh ya, the steak (sirloin) was very chewy. The menu reads that it's aged like it would be really good, NOT!

My chicken was WAY overcooked then they tried to tell me it was prepared like that on purpose because they "char" the outside. The chicken was BLACK n the bottom and took a steak knife to cut through it.

The food was great, but I thought it took too long to get our food. We had lunch and dessert and were there almost an hour and half. The waitress was very attentive. So I think it was the kitchen being so slow.

HG Bistro never disappoints. Delicious food & excellent service. Great atmosphere; more of a date place, not kid place in my opinion. BUT, they do welcome kids in the restaurant; no kids menu. Happy hour menu in bar is a great deal. Kids can't be in the bar. I highly recommend trying the crab rolls & flaming s'mores desert!

The service was ok however the food took a while before we received it. Portions have been minimized and an entree doesn't fill you. Mashed potatoes were watery and pasta sauce smelled bad.

A great escape from humble little puyallup! From the moment you cross the threshold you're in a mini Tuscany. The mood and atmosphere are great and the food-even better! Pleasant, knowledgable waitstaff to match a sizable wine list.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. The only glitch was our appetizer never arrived. The waiter offered to buy us dessert to make up for this and indeed did not add the dessert in with the bill, but we left enough to cover that, the bill and the tip also.

It was a dinner rush on a Sunday evening, so I had taken into account their business at the time. They were overwhelmed and understaffed, but that didn't stop them: The host actually pitched in to take my table's order and apologized for being limited on serving staff.The food was actually delivered in a very timely manner (the poor chef must have been pulling his hair out!) and very nicely prepared!Great ambiance, lighting, smells... we will definitely return!

We have enjoyed HG since it was Hungry Goose, except now it is much more enjoyable with the ambiance and superb menu. We especially love our waitress who has been our server each time we have been in and she is absolutely fantastic, always remembers us and treats us like a King and Queen, checks on us throughout our stay, but does not always stay in our face. The food is always excellent and we love the wine choices.

we entered and it was very noisy, but when we went in to the dining room, it was quiet and intimate. Server was bright and pleasant. Food was excellent except for the asparagus - too old & tough. Also, would love to see more gluten free items offered.

We love happy hour at HG but will not eat dinner there again.The meat portions were very small (4oz?) for the price of the mean and the veggies were miniscule. 2 tiny stips of pepper on my meal and 2 thin slices of zuchinni on my husbands. Come on, include a real portion of veggies on the plate or don't put on the menu that they will be there.I had to stop at McDonalds on the way home because my husband was still hungry.

Overall fantastic night, only thing I would say was not good was the fake whipped cream on the dessert. For a high end bistro real cream is a must, not the non-dairy in the bag. Even ready whip would be better. Other than that great night!!!

The quality, variety, presentation and preparation of the food was outstanding for our community. the menu is diverse. The service was not very attentive, but was by-in-large effective. Service did not have the "WOW" factor that the meal did.

The food was not as good this visit as on a previous visit. The zuccini served with my meal was not cooked. Another memeber of our party had her meal come out much earlier than the rest of us. The staff was friendly and the other meal items were tasty.

ok so this really is 1 of my favs but this trip was'nt the staff ignored us and then was constantly back peddling to try to make up got there at 15 min till din rm opening and told host? that we'd wait for him in the bar he never came and we saw him seating two other tables we asked the bar help to check what happened so they said it would be a little while longer finally we were seated and then just left there till again we said we had a VERY early morning ! and would some one take our order there were many more screw ups seemed no one was overseeing anything.. as i said they kept making up for each mess but we were looking for a good meal and some pampering and down time have always loved this place on every level but food was inconsistantly great and awful this time will def go back and see if this was just one bad night thanks

We love HG and come there often. Restaurants.com was an added bonus. Our only complaints are the hostess (older lady) and the service is alittle slow. We keep comming back so no big deal. They have an excellent Happy Hour.

What and unexpected little suprise in Puyallup! Very comfortable resteraunt with a nice atmosphere inside and friendly staff. Once you get past it's location and get inside, you're in for a treat of fine dinning like you would in a larger city. And the food ... well like I said, unexpected suprised, it was very good and we will definately be going back...with or without a discount!
