The waitress was very helpful with the menu & suggestions about the daily specials. The Escargot appetizer dish Wonderful & the Calamari/octopus plate was divine! I thoroughly enjoyed the rigatoni/Italian sausage/mushroom/red pepper combination. Everything was Excellent!

I ordered pizza because of the rave reviews on the website. It was very good, but the crust was almost burnt. The other 2 diners loved their entrees.

The wait staff assisted with the parking as the handicap slot was partially blocked and she asked the vehicle owner to back out so we could get in. She also went out of her way to assist both of our guests with menu selections and the kitchen made up an order of chicken piccata instead of veal piccata. Our salads, soups and entrees were absolutely delicious.

Super slow service. We ordered two pizzas which took 90 minutes to receive. I ordered thick crust and they gave us thin. Should not have taken that long especially since the restaurant was only 50% full on. Friday evening. Ordered two fried appetizers which took 45 minutes to receive. I will not go back ever again.

The food was great and priced for a mid scale restaurant. However the experience of the dinner was overshadowed by loud sports playing on a TV. Very intruding and took away from the atmosphere. Owners need to decide if they want a nice restaurant or a sports bar

We came early for lunch thinking that we would be there less than an hour. It took a long time to get an appetizer and even longer for our food. We ended up having to ask for all of our lunches to be bagged up and eat back at work.Waitress seemed to be mad that we couldn't wait around another 20 minutes to eat after sitting for 45 minuters to get our entrees.The steak (ribeye) I had was extremely fatty and the chunks of onion in my salad were very thick.Friends got pasta dishes and were not impressed at all. Not much flavor overall was everyone's opinion.We thought this would be a good new spot for lunch, not so much.

Fridaynite dinner.8 folks at a total of 4 tables. Should be jumping. Was not. Clam chowder was watery and fishy.sent back and exchanged for equally watery minestone. Risotto was just ok. Sausage that was in it was totally flavorless. Tasted like it was boiled and all spice was bodied out of it. If that sausage had flavor it would have made a world of difference. Fried califlower was on the carry out menu but not on the dine in. They graciously prepared it for us, but it sure seemed like it was prefrozen and again..nothing special that would bring me back. I wanted so to really like this, but disappointed.

I was disappointed in the vegatable/shrimp risotta, it was too dry. The sole was good. The music was too loud for a conversation, which the waitress kindly turned down on request.

Service was great, really helpful waitress who went above and beyond (lent my husband reading glasses for the menu, let me taste the house wine before ordering it). We went on a Friday at 7:30 & only 5 of the 15 tables were filled so we got right in. Parking is limited but we got a space nearby. Bar was packed and loud & is right next to dining room so not ideal for date night, but fun if you're in the mood to start the weekend. Half of us LOVED our meals, the clam chowder soup, linguine & clams and penne with spinach, pine nuts and pesto were AMAZING, the gnocchi & shrimp was good but the white wine sauce was nothing special and the weird wilted broccoli that comes with it was awful. Mozz sticks were good, pizza was okay. Very limited wine options. Kind of pricey but would go back with the restaurant.com discount.

Kelly is a WONDERFUL waitress. The Olive Oil used in our appetizer and on the table did not taste very good at all. It tasted as though it was very old and/or of lower quality. Otherwise, our food was very good.

The calamari apetizer was fantastic, but the $24 bottle of wine was maybe a $5 bottle in the store. very bad. The entrees were gross. Cream sauce where menu said red. Veal tasted lie chicken. just not good.

The food was just ok. Most of the dishes were covered with heavy sauces not acceptable to our group. The service was extremely slow. Do not recommend this restaurant if you have anywhere to be after dinner - we missed a meeting we were planning to attend.

Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is so fresh and well prepared. I did feel bad for the waitress as she was all by herself with what turned out to be a full house at lunch. Even with that, service was quick and she was wonderful! I love recommending this place to friends and colleagues, everyone always loves it!

Our 1st waitress was very nice, but we needed to call her over for a 2nd glass of wine...Then 15 minutes later, we had a new waitress...Told her it was our 30th anniversary, and nothing. It's ok, not sure they care about anniversaries...Anyhow, food was good. price was fair.

Fran is the BEST waitress! We had a 50th Birthday party & she was outstanding with recommending family style food choices prior to the dinner. Cucina Casale has the best Italian food in area and on top of that outstanding service to their customers!

Very personable staff and you could see they get a lot of return customers. The owner mingles in with them. Food and service is consistently good. Cozy kind of atmosphere and located in the quaint and charming town of Itasca. They also set up a large tent out in front during the Itasca Oktoberfest and they sell their pizza and have live music. It's always a fun time. I would recommend it.

This is the 2nd time in as many months that we have visited Cucina Casale and been somewhat disappointed. Previous time there was a large group of teens, and our service suffered. This time while the food was OK, it was not nearly as good as in the past. Further a large group of noisy bar patrons somewhat spoiled the evening.

Adorable place, good service but had a tough time choosing from the menu. wanted pasta and none of the descriptions wowed me. Im used to going somewhere and having a tough time selecting. I think you should try to add a few items to your menu and/or eliminate slow movers. Pasta dishes were a little pricey.

Food was just ok, nothing special, both of us had the special and the veal inside the ravioli was dry. The spinach we ordered was very salty, not sure why. The service was mediocre at best, had to ask for water refills. Not a great dining experience.

We had a nice time at Cucina Casale and enjoyed our dinner. Fran was alot of fun and provided great service. The pesto pasta was wonderful and so was the osso bucco ravioli - yum!
