We always love the food here, but this time the service was exceptionally slow. It took like an hour to get our food. groups that came in after us were leaving before we had our food. If this had been my first visit, I would not be going back. Fortunately, this is the only time I have experienced poor service here and will return.

Though China Garden receives an award every year for being the best Chinese restaurant, the experience we had… The food was just so-so. The service and the server were excellent. We receive lots of attention. However, the food was disappointing this time.

I settled on a rating of 3 as an average of the excellent food and the terrible service. Waited 55 minutes for a take-out order that was promised in 20-25 min. I understand things happen, but to compound the issue, the checkout person made tons of excuses to several of us waiting, but no solutions. And the last time we dined inside this restaurant, it also took forever to get our meals. The food is great, but have decided that the lack of caring service means we will be crossing this place off our list.
The food was very good. They have an extensive selection of vegetarian items on their menu.
Many staff were new, but the owner continues to insist on high standards and customer satisfaction to a high degree. She has mostly new staff to train right now, but I find that manageable.
The Singapore Noodles were delicious, as were the egg rolls and the shrimp appetizer.
The brown sauce on the beef and vegetables did not taste right. I jacked it up with some mustard and a little sweet sauce. It was OK but not like the usual brown sauce tasted. I really liked the egg roll with chicken in it, very tasty. And the tea was excellent.
Waitress was slow with water etc.
The food was good and was served in a reasonable time, and more than I could eat.
They really need to use larger glasses for pop, instead of a juice glass. It is fine water comes in a juice glass but your main drink. Then you have to keep having them come and refill. Which she. Their busy and they always are kinda inconvenient for both customer & waitress.

new cook didn't know how to cook vegetables crisp & they were over cooked, also sauce was different and I didn't like it on the egg foo young. This has not happened before & I reported it. This is/was my favorite dish there. Also, server was obviously new. Didn't prioritize his work, forgot the rice, didn't ask about boxing up things. I got the service but had to ask for it.
