The chicken and seafood was obviously frozen, reducing the quality. In fact, parts of the chicken were still cold when served. It was edible, but the taste wasn’t great.

The TV was on playing a BaseBall Game, should have been muted -- ruined the romantis Italian music that was playing.. Would be too expensive without a coupon.

All was wonderful from the time we sat down until we walked out! We sat on the pretty outside patio on a warm evening, shared a bottle of Italian wine, and had a delicious meal!

We enjoyed starting our evening over a shared bottle of wine and wonderful service from the two men working. Our server was especially attentive and brought us out some delicious bread and dipping oil. Following that we each had a delicious Caesar salad. Kind of disappointed that mine had two anchovies on it when I asked for extra, but the salad was delicious! Still not even as close as good as our entrees. My pasta seafood and Fred's chicken parm were both hot and delicious!

The service and wine recommendation were great. My wife's meal (seafood pesto) was excellent. My eggplant parmesan was a bit heavy with the sauce and a bland but certainly filling. Adding parmesan cheese and fresh pepper helped. Table was wobbly and table cloth could have been cleaner..

The service was great. I would have liked to see more ravioli dishes on the menu. eg. Butternut ravioli etc My husband had the lamb shank and he ate every bite.

Salad overdressed, linguine and clam dish flavorless and clams were tough, veal special very fatty and expensive. Olive oil/pesto dip for bread very good. Will not go back.

I was served uncooked 'sea bass' that was grey. Upon further cooking the 'sea bass' was grey, mushy and tasted bad. When I told the manager he implied that I didn't 'know about eating fish' and that he served many other people. he was insulting and refused to remove the $40 charge ! from our bill.
Party of four. Each of us ordered a different entree, and each one raved about their plate. Caesar salad was the best we’ve had anywhere. We were too full to order dessert this time but have enjoyed the limoncello cake in times past. Wonderful experience!

We ordered the specials and got surprised by the price at the end considering the quality was not high. Could easily find way better food with that price point

The employees were friendly & professional. We got bruschetta, beet salad & caesar salad. These were awesome. I got the salmon. Was good, but different. Not used to a red sauce & cooked tomatoes on my salmon. We also got a shrimp pesto dish. Very good. And the bread / oil dip they served while we were waiting to order was awesome. Husband ordered canolli. It was ok. Not the best we've tasted. but overall it was a very good place.

Great restaurant, owned by a wonderful Sicilian family. Trust the specials, the were wonderful. The regular items are also delicious. This was our second time at this restaurant but it won’t be our last.

We were met and shown to our table immediately upon arrival. Bread and water were supplied right away, followed by menus, wine list and a description of the specials. The meal and wine choices were excellent, as was the service. The food was served with good timing and both of our choices were excellent. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful, delicious meal. From the bread to the appetizers to salad, dinner and dessert. Everything was so yummy! Hat’s off to the chef! He came and spoke with us, it was a great experience! We will be back soon, for sure.

Chianti Reserve provides a nice intimate dining experience inside or out. A server who knew their wine list came over to help us choose and directed us to a very nice wine. Dessert with glass of port was great.

I was expecting an authentic Italian cuisine, especially after having traveled to Italy several times. The dishes were OK and my gnocchi was below my expectation.

Service and attitude of owner and staff has greatly improved. They are still having a problem with acoustics in that there is nothing in the inside dining area to buffer conversation. Entering the restaurant the noise level was very high. Therefore, we dined outside. Even tho they had a heater, the dining area outside is difficult to have heat distributed evenly so those sitting near it stay warm while those on the other side of a table freeze.
Food was great. Service was slow, probably because there were also 2 large parties while we were there, but they weren't rude.
We were stuck in a corner and our valentines dinner experience was interrupted TWICE because the servers needed to get into the wine closet. Don't seat people in front of a wine cabinet!

We haven’t eaten at Chianti’s for almost a year and my mom was visiting so we wanted to take her to a downtown restaurant. We saw that we had a Restaurant.com certificate so we decided to go to Chianti’s. I remembered having pretty good calamari the last time we ate there, but this time both the spinach salad and calamari were very salty and not as good as the last time. My husband said his chicken breast in the chicken parmigiana was pretty dry. We wondered if the restaurant has new management or a new cook, because on our previous visits the food was much better. We would probably give Chianti’s one more try in case this was just an off night for them.

It was a pleasant Sunday evening with old college friends. The place is peaceful and the foods are good and talking about the old times decades ago bring people closer.
The food was good, small but good. The workers were very disorganized. Walking in there running around, pushing there way by you. The host says a hour wait, then she did not finish putting on the wait list. She walks off and starts doing other things. And moving tables. Then comes back looks on the computer. Says over a hour. The guy says what are you talking about. Set up a table over there, few minutes.

The place is nice, the food was very good. It was a Saturday night and we called ahead to see if we needed reservations but were told we would be taken care of. We were put out side where I was cold, then opted to move to the bar which unfortunately was still cold. I get cold easily, so overall a very nice place. Just st reminded me why you don't try to drop into a nice place on a Saturday night without reservations.
Our $29 plates of ling cod featured rubber-like fish... perhaps under cooked.

Linguini & Clam sauce was more like Linguini & Clam soup way to much broth and had no flavor. The Eggplant parmigiana was covered in red sauce couldn't see the eggplant.

It was rather loud because of two other parties with 6+ people. We were able to sit far from them. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly as I had to change an off - kilter chair and she had to fix our wobbly table. There were items on the floor by both tables near us- butter cube in its wrapper, a sugar packet and a napkin so therefore the clean- up crew needs to be more thorough. The food was great.

Owners must be aware that restaurant is in small quarters and loud voices vibrate and bounce off walls. My guest had never visited chianti reserve prior and I took her there. She won't return because of that experience.

Very friendly staff, host and server. Only problem is the venue is a bit noisy when crowded due to no acoustical sound reducers. Nothing can be done short of a major costly renovation. We enjoy our trips here, more when it is not as crowded as on a week end night. We usually go early on a slow week night.

Excellent service from the minute walked in the door. Was offered a small intimate table away from the the main room. It was more quiet there as we were celebrating a birthday. Service was impeccable. Water glasses were filled several times. The server was attentive. Lovely evening.
The appetizers were very good and a good value for the price, also the same for the entree. The pasta sauce was a little weak, but the desserts fabulous.

The first waiter and the man who was possibly the owner were great, but then another waiter (who also acted as the bar tender and had a thick accent) took over our table and when we didn't want to order any alcoholic drinks or desserts, he was very rude and snobby. He has no customer service skills unless you are throwing money at him and ordering tons of drinks and addd-on menu options like dessert. The food we ordered was delicious and filled us up so we did not want to order any more when we were done.(Also, for some reason on this visit, the restaurant was very loud and we couldn't hear each other talk, even at the small table we were seated at, but it was too hot to be seated outside that night.)

Prompt attentive service. Food was excellent. Relaxed atmosphere and alfresco dining. The outdoor dining area is cozy and secluded so you don't feel like everyone passing on the sidewalk is sharing your meal.

Great service, lots of dinner choices, delicious meal and they pour a generous glass of wine! Try the Lemoncello tartufo for dessert. My favorite. So cold and lemony.

The good:The risotto was delicious and not too much on the plate.Seating outside looked nice with all the pretty flowers.Seating inside was not packedThe so-so:The Jambalaya came out overly salty and very spicy the first time. See, we can usually tolerate one tbs of cayenne in one dish no problem but it was as if they accidentally spilled a can of pepper and cayenne in there plus a jug of salt! Ok, a bit exaggerated on my part, but really it was like Thai spicy! Thankfully the second try was much better!The bad:It isn't the worse customer service it's just that the server and water guy never say anything unless prompted. One of the managers or owners is condescending when we asked to get the last dish fixed. And I quote..."it's jambalaya"... What does that mean? We have had at least 50 varying taste of jambalaya from different restaurants, so that statement is just ignorant.Back to the good:The complimentary bread and dip was good. The food came out fast enough. Plenty of seating on a Tuesday.No tv so it's nice since we like peace.We might return but make note of the jambalaya being too salty and spicy.
The female that served the bread just didn't seem very cordial. Almost as though it was a big effort on her part. We all ordered different dishes and independently found them to be entirely too salty.

Food good; staff more than accommodating. We didn't have a reservation, and sat outside. It was a bit chilly, but nice (Propane heaters would have made it excellent!

The service was excellent and so was the food. We were given a complimentary appetizer of bread and a delicious spread similar to a bruschetta. The presentation of the meal was very good. There is a very nice patio for outdoor dining. We will definitely return.

For the very first time, we got there on the early side for dinner and the inside was fully booked. we were happy to sit outside- unfortunately their heater wasnt working
Attentive service, quaint environment
We didn't have a reservation, by we're able to be seated. Everyone was friendly and checked on us throughout the meal. The food was once again exceptional: salmon, lamb, and halibut. This time, we had dessert and that was amazing..flourless chocolate cake and orange sorbet. We look forward to our next visit.
This evening I dined alone. I had originally reserved a table for one but upon arrival I noticed the small bar area and requested to be served there. Very friendly staff and great food. The mixed salad was delicious as was the glass of Cabernet that I had with my meal. I rarely dine alone but felt very welcomed. I would definitely go back.

The atmosphere and was strangely quiet and uneasy, and immediately made us think maybe background music and/or decor upgrade might take the edge off. Waiter failed to take drink order for all guests before walking away. Crab cakes were cold in the middle. Best guess is they were quickly reheated and sent to the table. Blackened salmon salad was simple, fresh and very tasty. Chicken pasta dish was also very good. Cocktails were standard, and very small. Shame for having a full liquor license. Overall, slightly overpriced and underwhelming.

This is Italian at it's best. I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and it was the absolute most delicious I have ever tasted.
The Pomegranate Chicken special was quite good, and elegantly plated.

A nice surprise--pleasant atmosphere, patio dining also, good menu, full bar, very good food. We both really enjoyed our fresh "mista" salads, and our entrees-excellent calamari steak and tasty, spicy jambalaya. The creme brulee dessert was delicious, too. We will return!

Sparse piece of halibut for the price, the flavoring was missing something and the pasta was just warm and bland.

I had a salad w/chicken, salad was good chicken was dry (overcooked). My daughter had squash ravioli, she thought it was just frozen ravioli heated up, & more of a snack than a dinner. My son had some kind of fettuccine dish that he didn't really like (only ate half). And my husband had saltimbocca that he thought was fair.
Food is excellant in flavor and presentation. Servers and manager are very attentive.
Waiter was very helpful and personable--noticed other patrons seem to like him a lot. Food was outstanding--our Caesar salads were crisp, cold and dressed just right. My husband had the calamari steak and it was the best we have ever tasted (I had a bite and will be ordering it the next time!) My lamb shank was very, very tender (the meat was falling off the bone!) and the wine sauce was very tasty--it made the dish outstanding also! We will definitely go there again!

Very good food and tasty and well prepared. Background Italian music was quite good and sets you in the mood. Service was thorough and pleasing. Holds up to about 40 people max. Decor was ok, but table settings were good.

At first they didn't want to honor the restaurant.com voucher. Then the waiter told my kids twice that they are too loud. It's a neighborhood restaurant and they don't like kids??? The French onion soup was salty. The pasta dishes were ok and nothing special. Fontina is a lot better with customer service and quality of the foods.
It was wonderful to sit on the shady patio on a hot day.
We always enjoy our meals at Chianti! The tomato spread for the bread is to die for! Their special Calamari and Crab Rolatini is my favorite and it was on the menu last night. Loved it!
