We really enjoyed the food and there was plenty of room for extended family to join us for a birthday celebration

I used to love this place! But wow! It’s certainly not as good as it used to be! I always looked forward to their Gin and Tonics-but not any more! And the special was nothing like they were before this evening. Not sure what happened, but we won’t be back. Very sad!

The kitchen staff were loudly fighting and swearing. I kept making faces to a waiter and he went in and told them to stop.

The crab dip was really good, and my boyfriend and I got the same chicken and crab dish. Enjoyable all around.

The food was delicious, the service fast and friendly. What's not to like?
The golden brown fried oysters and onion rings were anything but (definitely over fried). This is the second time in a row we have eaten there that my order has been unsatisfactory. There will be no third time. Over the past year, food quality appears to be on a downward spiral. Will not travel 20+ miles for an unsatisfactory meal.
We had a great experience at Callahan's. Our server was outstanding. Went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was excellent and it was an excellent value. Will be back soon!

My husband had an ample serving of fried oysters. He said they were excellent. I had the crab cake dinner. The crab cake was small but had excellent flavor. Our server was polite and efficiently attended to our needs.

Our server, Peggy, was pleasant and attentive as always. Food was served in a timely manner and delicious. My fav is Seafood Flatbread and it didn't fail to please. I even had another guest ask what I had ordered as it looked so good! I was happy to tell her and suggested she give it try next time!
Shrimp were over done. Waiter was very nice. Sides could be a little more exciting. Always cold bring a jacket.
Shrimp was over cooked, borderline burnt. Baby back ribs were almost unbeatable, too much fat.

The food was good, the portions were ample, most fresh made on site. Higher end selection but comfortable feeling place. Some seats and facilities worn but clean. Quite a bit slow at one point. I went on a Wednesday and there were a good number of people there. Even if full I think you could have dinner conversation and be heard. What I had was good enough to make me want to try more of the items. The staff was friendly so I would venture back for the evening entertainment. Overall very pleasant.
Waiter seemed new. Had way too many large tables to himself. Food was wonderful as usual but pricey. Skip the appetizers-not as good as the entree.

First time for lunch. Though more customers than for a typical evening meal, waitstaff was more attentive, order to tableside was fast, drink refills was on a par with barstool service.

My friend enjoyed crab imperial which was prepared perfectly. I enjoyed the fried shrimp and found my entrée to be very delicious also. The service was outstanding and there was no wait time at all. Overall, this is an excellent restaurant that I would highly recommend.

Food was good, but service a little slow, had to wait on drinks, Waiter did not come back often enough to check if needed anything, (Refill on alcohol drinks). No melted butter for the lobster.
The food was amazing in flavor and were of a nice sized portion. The waitress was the daughter of the owner and was very good and pleasant to interact with. Would recommend this restaurant to others.

Our server was excellent. He was very patient with my picky, unsatisfied, rude dinner partners, and the ornery Dine Rewards app. My fish and crab was good. They complained about each item they selected, then expected new items which he very graciously prepared. Great service!

We had a perfect table and perfect service. You could not ask for better. The temperature of the restaurant was perfect making our outing very enjoyable. Al was the best server I think I have ever experienced. He knew exactly what we needed and when without having to ask for it.
Wasn't impressed with the breakfast brunch. Overpriced for sm portions. Had the eggs Benedict with crab. No crab on plate. Had to return & correct it. Lunch is a whole lot better!

I have a crab cake sandwich and onion rings. My husband had the check avocado flat bread with fries, they were both great.

The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was cozy. Stuffed scallops were to die for, the crab cake was amazing and the steak perfect. We had wings for an appetizer and they were perfectly fried. We were very happy!
Server opened the wine bottle and put cork back in it and placed it on the table without pouring. Server placed the wrong food order for one person in our party with the kitchen. Said he'd get them to make what she ordered, but told her what she got was really good. She didn't want to wait for food, so she ate what she ordered. Service was slower than usual.

As before, Callahans continues to have a Gnat problem. We were bothered by them the entire time we were there. Makes me wonder how clean the Restaurant is, especially the kitchen. THEY NEED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
Both my wife's shrimp and my steak were cooked perfectly and tasted even better.

The good was of high quality. The crab cakes were big with no fillers. The shrimp were gulf sized. The scallops were seasoned so perfectly, I didn't use cocktail sauce like I usually do. The server was knowledgeable and warm. He made us feel at home. Service was excellent. Prices were average for a seafood restaurant. The establishment is a well kept secret. We will be coming back.

I found it unsettling to have the waitress sweeping and swabbing the floor while we were eating less than 20 feet away. This kind of routine maintenance shouldn't be performed while people are eating. Not my type of entertainment.

Our dinner was wonderful! We had their fried oysters which were very very good, crispy on the outside and wet on the inside. We had Surf 'N Turf with the filet and scallops. The steak was grilled perfectly and the scallops just melted. Our server Sean was great, very welcoming, not overbearing, and friendly.

Food was good but not as good as on previous visits. The soup should have been served hotter and the baked potatoes were not hot and fresh. Otherwise all seafood items were served piping hot, fresh and were delicious.The waiter could have been a little more attentive. We ran out of water and it was never refilled until I asked.

Callahan's has always been one of our favorite Frederick, MD restaurants. The food is delicious and the menu has items that are both expensive and reasonable, Folks with large and small appetites, can always find a special dish to order.

Not many people in restaurant. only 3 tables when we got there at 12:40pm and we were the only ones when left. Prices were extremely high for size portions. Would not go without coupon.
