Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Was visiting friends from out of state. The ambiance was perfect for our party. The service and hospitality was exceptional. It's always a plus when you get to meet the chef! :)

We had fried brusselsprouts and they were wonderful. To top that off we had one of their special dishes, mushroom ravioli and that was just awesome! The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was to die for.The chef came out to talk with us and he and the waitress were so friendly. We will go back. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our experience was outstanding! The meal was exquisite, as good as any top notch restaurant in New York, but at a fraction of the price. The atmosphere was comfortable and the service delightful. So happy we found this gem of a place.

I would suggest making reservations as this is a very small quaint bistro and we saw people being turned away. Not quite sure though as there were available tables but waitress kept telling families they were waiting for people who had reservations. Hmmm none showed up during our dining time

The food is always wonderfully fresh with a fantastic blend of flavors. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly staff. The owners are very involved not only with the food aspect but making sure customers are pleased. Just love it there!

The service was casual but professional. The complimentary warm bread was on par in quality with a good French bread, accompanied by tasty dipping oil and an eggplant spread. The house salad had a non-acidic vinaigrette that was spot on, although I would have appreciated it sooner than was served. The swordfish was fresh and seared to my liking. The wine list, while not inspired, afforded a drinkable pinot grigio and prosecco. While the fans instead of A/C were acceptable, we did move our initial seating to a cooler spot. High 80s or in the 90s would not work. Overall a admirable bang for the buck.

Not only was the food great, but the staff was very attentive. We came with a toddler, and the chef himself came out to let us know all the ways he would be able to accommodate a potentially fussy palate.

The owner made the difference. His attention stood out. The haddock entre reflected care given by restaurants with a big city price tag. This is a storefront operation with a white linen approach to the menu. The salads were fresh and innovative. The signature dessert, carrot cake, ordinarily not a favorite of mine, passed muster with flying colors.

The good, warm bread was accompanied by flavored butter, olive oil, and caponata - delicious! I had the shrimp appetizer as an entree, and my husband had pasta with meatballs. We both thought our food was very good. Salad was delish! (Your ratings should have a "very good," between "good" and "excellent.")

What a surprise, would never have known this tiny resto was even there and we're in Brattleboro regularly! One of the best meals I've had in months, the chef really knows his stuff.

The food was prepared well; although the presentation, with the exception of the dessert, could have been more eye-catching.The server spent far too much time determining whether one wine selection was served by the glass, especially when the menu stated that it was. She stayed by the table reviewing the pages of the wine list. It was annoying. Her conduct did improve markedly when that was resolved.
