We had a great server and the manager was present and helping in restaurant.
We came here straight from the movie theater across the street. We got seated as soon as we got there. We ordered appetizers, beers, and the Austin Burger and a the Angus burger special. The food and the service were excellent. Carlos was our waiter.
One of us had the Sunday brunch and the other a goat cheese salad with chicken. Both were delicious and the service was very good.
The blackened salmon & shrimp were way too spicy (hot)
The service was so poor at time we thought it was deliberately poor. We had to ask for everything while watching the servers talking to each other ,
Carlos is the best waiter in the Austin Ale House. The salmon with pecan butter is the best salmon I have ever tasted.

There was a Christmas party in a separate room, which made service a little slow. Diners at another table made a loud fuss, spoiling the atmosphere for the remaining diners. Although stressed, we had sufficient attention from our server.

The food took a long time to be served. Other than that, everything else was good.

Food is always good, especially the burgers. They are known for their delicious burgers. Service is great and the staff is always helpful and courteous.

It’s not just one large room to dine. The place has several sections inside. Excellent atmosphere for all. Food, fish ?? is all freshly made w much flavor.
The staff is very attentive. Waitress Michelle is pleasant and informative with the menus. Warm environment. Bus boy always around in case you need more water, asks if all is okay and if we needed anything.

I enjoyed the food (and the service) at Austin's Ale House. They had a new item on the menu when I visited (Shrimp Fra-Diablo) and it was very good. Looking forward to dining there again.

Our server was amazing she makes sure you are happy with whatever you order, drinks or food. And will make sure that if you are displeased that it is taken care of and that you are happy.

The soup was served luke warm. The onion rings were coated with grease, with no evidence of any attempt to dry them off before they were servrd. The NY cheese cake was only fair in quality.

we had a delicious meal, the only thing was our wings were not fully cooked and when we asked for it to be cooked a bit more our server said it might not be possible but she came back and said "she spoke to the chef and it was ok to be broiled a bit more" was not o happy with that but all in all was a very good meal

The restaurant was very crowded (happy for the restaurant, tho), which delayed everyone's orders. As the diners, we had no choice but to accept the pace of delivery of our food. However, I would like to suggest that certain staff members not openly display their frustration. On a different note, the busboy service was SO much better than it was when we were there previously.

Service was not up to par, but we keep going back because the food is delicious. They need more bus boys/girls to assist the servers. It's been like this for quite some time, so I hope this area is improved. I, also, hope they do not raise the prices anytime soon.

First, our waiter seemed distracted. He acknowledged our requests & then either ignored them or forgot them.Two orders of roast beef were cold as was the steak. The french fried sweet potaoes were limp and soggy. The Broccoli was wet and cold. The salad was fine.When the staff saw that most of the steak was uneaten they neither asked if there was a problem nor did they offer to pack it for a doggy bag. The captain or maitre d' was socializing with his friends and supervising nothing.

Our waiter was fantastic, unlike the host was not too accomodating, we got there and there were 2 parties going on and it was like she wasn't willing to find us a spot until I guess she mentioned it to the manager and he was able to find us a spot, she could have said "there is a wait since we have 2 parties going on so the tables are limited at the moment".

Our experience at Austin's has generally been better than tonight. We were there for an early dinner and should have had plenty of time to make a movie across the street. We both ordered soup and neither was hot. Then we waited an unusually long time for our entrees. We just made the movie, but rushed through our meal. The food was good and the waitress was apologetic, but the overall experience was disappointing.

Alberto's is the restaurant in a Holiday Inn. The food was tasty but pricey - a $1.95 upcharge for french fries on a $12.95 sandwich is steep.We were there at 12:30 on Sunday, and there was no salad bar service for Sunday lunch.

This is a neighborhood bar. The food and service are much better that you expect to find in a "joint" like this. Too bad that parking is so hard and that the place is sometimes so noisy.
Good food, prompt service, belly dancer perfoming next door in the bar (a bit too loud for us who were not in that party) but there appeared to be a miscommunication between wait staff and the waitress that we ended up with was kind of surly and not very pleasant.

The only thing worse than the food was the service! Instead of french fries we got baked potatoes which were as hard as a rock. It took over 1/2 hour just to get our salad. We had to ask to get bread...get the idea!

My husband's burger was great. I ordered the grilled portobello mushroom with mozzarella and red peppers. I expected the peppers to be fresh grilled peppers, but they were out of a jar. I also expected the dish to be warm, but it wasn't. It was warmed up for me. Not the best dish I've had there.
We had drinks and apps at the bar. Johanna was excellent (bartender). Will definitely go back because of her.

It took a while for a host/hostess to greet us when we came in. It was odd how long we waited, and a waitress ultimately came to us and took us to our table. Service was considerably slower than what we've experienced in the past.

Food is good enough but service is horrendous. It took about an hour from the time we were seated to get our entree. (We shared an appetizer that took half an hour to come.) Waitress was socializing with regulars at a neighborhing table. My only regret is that service was included on the bill dure to the restaurant.com coupon. But there's no way this service merited an 18% gratuity.

food is usually real good--on chicken entree,,vegetables were cold 2x--fish and chips under cooked batter was slimy-no management of cook staff

Austin's Ale House has always been an old reliable for great burgers and fries. Unfortunately, much to our disappointment, on this visit, they changed their french fries from the beautiful, thick hand-cut french fry potatoes they've had for years, to ordinary fries that you would find in a fast food type of restaurant. These fries were tasteless and got cold almost immediately. What were they thinking??? Come on...go back to what made you stand out among the other average restaurants and burger joints!

The overall experience was good. THe food tasty, etc. The only issue in one of the desserts there was a tic tac in it and the server said that it dropped in there by mistake that was sorta freaky because we wondered if it came from someones mouth.

The kitchen was slow so we waited awhile for our food, however, the waiter was very nice and did tell us up front that it was backed up and even gave us a round on the house! Little things like that go a long way - I appreciate the courtesy.

We had eaten at Austin's many years ago and it was fantastic, then for some reason we could never ever find it again. We were a little disappointed. I do not think it is the same owners or something else, you do not know. The food was OK, not great
Burgers were wonderful. Service was ok. Waitress seemed to be new - she had a bit of trouble understanding some requests and questions. But other than this, it was a nice dinner. Would go again.
Beware, the appetizers are large enough to fill you up. The Australian rack of lamb is the best. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and could not finish it. Drinks are excellent. The waiter was very helpful but not intrusive. We will definitely revisit this restaurant again.

Known for their excellent burgers and french fries, they did not disappoint. They have a nice menu but if you stick to their staples, you'll have a better experience.

The restaurant was smoky from the grill -- poor ventilation. The side dishes were great but surprisingly, the steaks were only so-so. Overall rating was good -- definitely not great.

Our pork nacho appetizer was not hot and there was not much pork. The burgers we ordered for our entrees were good but were not cooked as we asked. I asked for medium and it was well done.
Food took a while to come from the kitchen. The ale House had a large private party. So food was slow and didn't like table near kitchen doors.
it would be even better if you would add 15% tips which is normal, and which is what the other resturants charge.

The waitress rushed out meal. I was unable to finish my soup, when my entree arrived. She had just brought out my salad. She should have waited to put my dinner order in until I had at least started to eat my soup.....
It is our favorite restaurant near Kew Gardens Cinema. We made an additional trip because of the Restaurant.com coupon. We saw a movie in Huntington and were heading to the city, but stopped in Queens because of the coupon.
The restaurant has to be more conscious of the temperature. It is frequently too cold in the dining room.

Onion rings with dinner were soggy and inedible, the chicken dish I ordered was overly salty, the server was very good. French fries orderedd by someone else in party were also soggy and unappetizing.

A local resturant near a friend. The steaks and service are good. There is an outdoor band. Its convenient, comfortable and friendly.
We did not like the onion soup. The taste was too strong and there was not enough mozzarella cheese covering the top.
